How many of you blackmailed Rebecca?
When you hear she saying in the bathroom that her baby isn't Alvin's. Since that's not an in-game stat, I'm curious about this choice. Just wanted to know what people here did. Even though she annoyed the hell out of me, I still resisted doing that and instead just told I wasn't going to stay long. Since I didn't like the most of the cabin group, it made the most sense for me to say that. What about you?
I've made a poll here.

I seem to recall doing so, as while Clementine is generally a soft spoken and compassionate person who tries to keep trouble from brewing as much as possible, she had definitely learned from Michelle by that point that sometimes a little shrewdness is what is necessary to get by in a hostile environment. And Rebecca made it clear that she was still hostile towards her regardless of what Luke and Carlos might say.
Probably in my ruthless play-through just for laughs. When I first start each Telltale game, I always play nice because I believe that is the intended version.
im not sure what you re talking about she just learned to be nicer to me... Anyways i actually took that option just because i wanted to see what would happen ((Shame nothing ever came out of it.))
It's funny because I actually took forever trying to decide whether to hide in the shower or the closet (and was saved from being spotted through the miracle of writer copouts), so I didn't get the option to ask about the baby. If memory serves it was replaced by some boring option about telling Rebecca that Clem was invited to stay in the group, or something along those lines, so I chose that.
I sure as hell did. Like, bitch, who tf do you think you are??
didn't we all?
yes because she was a asshole to me
Which is kind of a shame considering she could've been a relatively strong character if she was actually paced out gradually and got more background to give a fuller picture.
I did, I mean how can you not, considering how she was treating both Clem and Alvin at the time. Honestly, blackmailing her is one of my favorite moments from ATR, despite how much I came to like Rebecca.
One of the things that I find odd is that there's a difference between console/PC versions of that scene, and mobile versions. When you play on console/PC and you're given the dialogue options after Rebecca tells you to shut your mouth, the shot will look like this.
However, in mobile versions (of which I originally played both S1 and S2 on with my iPad at the time), the shot looks like this, with the brim of her hat covering her eyes, giving it a more menacing vibe.
Not sure as to why this is the case, I don't recall any other moment from the series differing from mobile, console, and PC, but I do think the mobile version is much cooler.
From what I can tell, the one with the hat covering her eyes is actually a happy accident. The way it looks on the PC is how it was intended to look. Her animations are bugged in the mobile versions, causing her head to be looking in the wrong direction/angle. However, this little animation error arguably makes the scene look even cooler.
Gotta appreciate those.
Like Clint and sometimes Lingard seeming stoic and/or vacant. Or The Specialist, if you need a laugh.
If it is a bug, which it does look to be, then it's a damn good bug. I actually wish they did this across all versions of the game, because it makes Clem's blackmail look so much better.
Oh, there's also her reaction(or lack thereof) to Luke asking her if she's hungry.
I'm not sure what you're referring to, I've never seen any bug like that. I've always seen her smile when Luke brings in food.
When Carlos says she leave the shed so he look at her arm inside the Cabin, Luke asks her if she's hungry or something and she just stops there saying nothing before following the others.
The original intention was for her to shake her head after a pause, but this animation was bugged and just didn't play originally. This was fixed in the HD Collections.
I mean personally, I didn't give a fuck about Avlin, but she wasn't about to talk to me like that, hell no. It was only a matter of time before someone sat her tf down . I wish we could've told him she was having serious doubts about the baby being his, just to get her mad.
I didn't blackmail her. I had no reason to, sure she was not very welcoming to Clementine but she had a lot to worry about, bringing a child into a world full of ravenous walkers, the mental toll that being pregnant has on a woman, as well as the looming threat of Carver coming ever closer, it is understandable that she was as moody and distrusting to Clementine as she was. I saw that and didn't hold any ill will towards her.
I did in my original play through.
I did at first, but now I really cannot stand manipulative people who twist words or use anything against others. The only time I can understand if they turn to it if the person is an outright awful person. Rebecca isn't. She's a scared pregnant woman and understandably wasn't trusting towards Clem.
To Conclude; my Clem was chill with everyone in s2 but Carver and Troy.
It's pretty split so far. That's interesting.
At the time I thought she was a bitch so it was pretty tempting to say the least.
Little that she knew... it will be her's one day.
I told her "I'm just a little girl" because seriously, their notion that Carver would send out a bitten, scrawny 11-year-old out in the woods to somehow "spy" on the group was absurd, even for paranoia. Clementine wouldn't have even found the group without Pete and Luke's initial rescue, so it's not like I was scouting like SOME people, ahem, BONNIE, ahem.
same. i kind of instinctively played scumbag clem since it seemed everyone in s2 was a massive dick.
The idea is that Carver was intended to be underhanded enough to do something like that. The fact that Pete, Alvin, and Sarah were quick to wanna help her, while Luke and Carlos wanted to at least wait and see meant they might've been wide open for her to go find Carver the moment she gets away from them.
Would've had extra weight had he turned out to be Kenny as original conceptualized.
...What?
I liked Clem having a rocky relationship with her in the beginning but then eventually softening up to her and becoming her friend. The bond they have after Alvin's death is pretty neat.
Why couldn’t we just......MURDER Rebecca in her sleep?
Would have been epic, but Rebecca needed to give birth in order for AJ to be able to blow Marlon's brains out 5 years later.
My point is that it's stupid. Kids make more mistakes, they're more vulnerable, more easily killed, etc. And like I said before, Clementine wasn't the one to find them - they found her and brought her to the cabin.
So did Carver.
Also, remember that Luke and Pete are kinda smooth about asking her if she ran into anyone looking for them and that they were close enough to the Cabin for Luke to make her walk the last bit of the way before she pasted out several feet away from it.
Carlos also brings this point up in the house meeting.
