I dunno, Ive always feeld like after leaving the group Lilly met Eddie and Nate, or just one of them. Maybe they went to Parkers Run Parking Lot? I am 70% that she meet that at the begining.
And.... Eddie and Lilly just match themselfs as a people I think.

I read a fanfic where Lilly and Eddie met once, it wasn't half bad.
Well, considering Nate was on a major rampage chasing Eddie and Wyatt down after the former killed one of his friends, somehow I doubt they'd be in a group together, even under the most dire circumstances.
All I can give is probably the story you're referring to I think, indeed a fic that wasn't too shabby and probably the 2nd best one involving the 400 days crew, with Into the Fray obviously taking that cake.
I will forever be bugged by the fact that Eddie (in all covers I believe) and a wide slew of other 400 days characters were on the Amid the Ruins slide and then having that point go absolutely nowhere. Would at least like some confirmation on that but I'm guessing nobody's popped that sort of question yet to any party that might have a clue about it. Hard to do so I guess, with most people from S2 having moved on since, that and Eddie's VA isn't exactly a regular at WD events, or so I believe.
They [mostly] weren't 400 Days characters: they were placeholder silhouettes made from Carley, Doug, a Save Lots Bandit, Vince/Kenny(or rather, Vince with Kenny's hair), and another character.
Eddie himself is an understandable cause for confusion, but it's possible he himself was meant to be replaced by Mike, hence the hood and relative closeness compared to the others.
However, the 400 Days character were indeed intended to have [slightly] more prominent roles in the third episode all the way up to the episode's proper development, but it became an issue of cost/resources or something and thus the cameos/roles we have in the released product is what was left/cobbled.
