0:21 - Am I the only one that thinks that it might be Beta? Height looks similar, posture as well. Also I have a sneeky feeling that Alpha is the one that says "Keep them together" at the end.
Yeah. In Comic Series he was that tall that he couldn't get full zombie skin so he only wear zombie mask on his face. If I'm not mistaken, he was 2.05-2.10m~ tall. Big motherfucker to be honest, he played basketball before the outbreak.
Even huge Negan looks like a kid compared to him. But I guess there aren't any good 2 meters < actors to play Beta.
I think Kirkman wrote him very well. He's this staggering, giant of a man, protecting a small monster. His dedication to Alpha, and the Whisperers spoke volumes of his character. He never wanted to lead, even after Alpha died, she lead them from her grave, by the dedication from Beta.
When she died, a natural next in line leader's thoughts should be with the group. You take the time to regroup, then make a plan for your next move, whether it be attack, or otherwise. But Betta was heartbroken by Alpha's death, so he led with vengeance in his heart. Which was the demise of him and his group.
I thought it was pretty awesome to see this kind of loyalty this late in the za. When reading the comics, I thought he was gonna make a powerplay with Alpha so weak, but he did the exact opposite. Writing him in this early would only deter his character, sort of making him a bad ass bodyguard to Alpha. Or they would go the power grab route, with Beta wanting to be Alpha. I think it's very important to capture the essence of both Alpha and Beta.
Also, they need to work Negan. In the comic, Negan helped RICK with this little problem. Because, idk, he really had a boner for Rick's trust. On the show it's gonna be Judith, but it's gonna be hard for them to wright Negan as a friend to Judith, w/o making him some type of influence to her. Which would be bad.
Rick saying fuck it to spring Negan for help was a long time coming, Negan worked his ass off for even a thought crossing Rick's mind. I just don't know how that'll pay off with him gone.
So yeah a lot of variables. Imo, it's best to keep things in order.

If they introduce Beta this early, it'd be a mistake.
Depends on how is he written in TV Series. I think that he didn't have enough time in comic.
The guy playing him is 6’3, seems a little short from what I’ve heard about the comic version.

Can it be tracer?
Nah i don't think that's him,it's too early,but we're definitely gonna see Alpha.
So it wasn't Beta afterall.
That's how Beta looks in TV Series.
Beta is the one fighting Daryl. Alpha is the bald white chick. We see them both in the teaser for the second half of S9
