Yep, it was announced early last year. It's being animated by Science Saru, who do pretty good work so it'll at least look good.
According to Edgar Wright, it will expand on the universe (among other undisclosed things) from the graphic novel, which... I don't know how to feel about. I don't really see what there is to expand on that isn't just a quirky worldbuilding moment like the funky doors that Ramona summons or the fact that people explode into coins when they die. However, Bryan Lee O' Malley is involved with the writing so it'll probably be pretty good.
Wait there's an anime series coming?!!
I think I vaguely remember seeing that or posting that, but I'm still feeling stunned right now
And that is FANTASTIC news holy cow
Interesting. I've only read books 1-3 so I don't have much knowledge of the back half of the series that the movie didn't adapt, so it'll be cool to see that if I'm still in the dark when the series comes out.
Gosh my canadian heart is melting at this news tho omgggg

anyone else see the wolf 2 plot leak? Possibly spoilers, but apparently each episode is like 2 and a half hours and the main plot is mostly about Bigby involving himself with mundy crimes as a private investigator which backfires and gets him framed for murder causing mundy cops to focus more on the woodlands as they investigate him. also anyone else notice the telltale logo kinda looks like mickey mouse lol? Thats so crazy haha

I just spent several hours writing a A Song Of Ice and Fire theory revolving around the character of "Shitmouth". I've gotten two upvotes...totally worth it.
I am undeniably tired of these internet shits for brains confusing criticism with harrassment. Lily Gao, the voice actress of Ada Wong in the recent Resident Evil 4 Remake, just got her instagram deleted due to the spam of harsh commentary.
There's a new Spider-Verse 2 trailer out tomorrow, look out for that.
We've had 2 teasers so far that haven't shown much of the story, so this is probably the big one to get butts in seats.
The film is only 2 months away though and I already know I'm gonna be there ASAP to see it, so I'm going to do my very best not to watch it (unless it appears in theatres before GOTG3)
There's a teaser for it (marketing is weird), so I'mma do my best to live off these 15 seconds for the next 60ish days. Because they are good-looking 15 seconds.
... now I want to edit the correct emoji into the ancient "massive crush / being in love" post on page one of this thread.
/edit: And done.
If anybody's wondering, the version of this thread from ... 2008 I think, or even earlier ... had a spambot post on page one that went "What's the difference between a massive crush and being in love?" with a begging emoji attached. It became a meme for some community folks, and they're reposted it ever since.
My favourite memory here is when one of the Back To The Future episodes released with a broken puzzle. Everyone was trying to figure it out until one of the team replied with an oops post.
Miss the days of the dev team being on the forums for releases. Good memories from SM3, PA, BttF, JP, even the first TWD(I think it ended there).
I'm sure I did at one point. Had a different name for 2 years before this too(joined during SM3). It's been a while.
Forums are a dying breed. Once DF shut down(was really dead before that when rules were tightened), nowhere to go. I guess I'm kind of back(still play most of the games). I broke my foot, so I'm just around now.
Edit: OH! I remember using the flaming max head with antlers(a deceased friend put on in '11) at one point too.
Not too surprising that the dev team kind of stopped coming here, partially since it seems after TWD is where crunch became a thing behind the scenes, and partially because people just got really toxic on the forums.
Randomly(since we're bringing up the past):

It's sad but true. But we'll always Paris Feels like the tendency has been towards a redditization. Reddit has really grown a lot the last few years. The built-in advantage that you only need one account and can search all the subreddits is need be is very powerful. It removes the biggest fixed cost to joining new communities. The increased popularity of instant messaging platforms like Discord have hurt forums too.

I find reddit is either too as-a-matter-of-point or flying vitriol.
It's great for getting information from peers, but it loses major points for the lack of casual conversation and community. I don't know why it creates that divide, but I've never called anyone on reddit "a friend".
Okay, I like that this seems to be presenting this move as a native passion project for The Rock, which is probably is... however, I just can't not see this guy as a businessman/producer with a huge ego about all of the recent films he's been in the past few years and the fact we're already going to get a mid-to-low Live Action remake of Moana is insane.
Just... Disney... stoppp.... they aren't good..
Crunch has always been a thing behind the scenes. When episode 1 crunch ended, episode 2 crunch began. At one point Telltale management was aiming for Seasons of different franchises to release in parallel, so that made the perpetual crunch all the more real.
I'd love to put all the blame on TWD, but it wasn't all peachy before as well. Telltale got their first real and, regarding their community interaction, rather fatal blow when they marketed Jurassic Park in 2011. They've lent a Jurassic Park jeep that some asshole fan built for PAX, brought it back with some scratches that probably happened during transport, offered to repair it of course, but the asshole tried to make it look like they destroyed the whole car to squeeze more money out of them. An epic internet hatemob formed that tried to hunt and kill completely innocent Telltale employees. https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/mcy7l/today_i_received_nonstop_phone_calls_and_emails/
So that didn't encourage Telltale to interact with fans a lot.
In 2013, Telltale introduced their new forum. The eleven headed mod squad was able to test drive that thing with its nested conversations and downvotes and unequivocally told Telltale officials that it was one huge heap of utter crap. It was of course introduced, which led to a literal exodus of long time Telltale fans (to the Double Fine forums, which are now scraped off the face of the earth).
The time of The Walking Dead in 2012 was of course where my decision to leave formed. A graphic, violent, horror comic turned video game that, surveys confirmed, was mostly played by minors. It showed on the forums. A whole lot of new members who didn't know what Telltale was and did. They were quite irate when Telltale dropped the ball and didn't deliver episodes on time. And the mod squad was much reduced, as it consisted of "old Telltale" fans almost exclusively, the Sam & Max and Tales of Monkey Island fans who wouldn't venture into TWD forums as they weren't interested in TWD. Of originally 11, I think three or four regularly made it into the TWD forum.
Not too surprising that the dev team kind of stopped coming here, partially since it seems after TWD is where crunch became a thing behind the scenes, and partially because people just got really toxic on the forums.
Just came across this guy on YouTube, Caleb Hammer. He goes through people's personal finances with them and helps create solutions for them. But some of these people, are absolutely insufferable to watch as they try to justify their spending habits and what they do. They complain how it's impossible to save money, that they don't have enough, how oppressive America is, meanwhile, he just tears into them for making excuses and not taking personal responsibility. This one is a doctor (who I've heard are notoriously awful when it comes to handling finances due to lifestyle creep, basically they just keep spending all the money to give off the appearance of being luxurious) who makes about $300k a year, yet starts a month with about $1 in their checking and $300 in savings. I just do not understand how people can be this careless and irresponsible, and then blame others for their shitty situation.
Hey so haha hey so um just wondering when do you guys haha like you know think we'll get a wolf 2 update haha, like for real though when? like I know itll be a while ha but like what if like you know like what if it wasnt?
My stepdad is going blind, a diabetes related illness. He's buying tech gadgets like crazy even though he must know that he will never be able to use those again. For him, it's a sign to be well off, that everything is okay, that he can go out and buy stuff. On Mr. Hammer's channel, I see a long row of people who fell into the same trap of over consuming in a society that takes any necessary step to convey to you that you're only part of society as a prolific consumer.
The videos that seem to be most successful is of people who earned a shitton of dough in their lives, but somehow spend it on bullshit. I get it. It makes people feel better to see how the winners of the lottery of life slander all that life has given them, and all they've worked for. Then I'm seeing how Hammer dumps on somebody for bad eating habits, which he obviously battles with himself.
The miscalculation that the "entrepreneur" has made, I think, is that it's probably a little difficult to sell his crazy expensive "career courses" online when all he does on youtube is to dump on whoever doesn't sue him senseless in 48 minute scripted reality videos for doing so.

Maintaining your relationships with your crew will be an important aspect of the game, and what may work for one crewmate might not work for another.
Choices from episode 1 will effect the ending of the game.
There are an "incredibly complex set of endings... spoilers."
There will be accessibility options to make QTE's easier.
There won't be random QTE's that are there just to surprise you.
Cara Drummer is a grey character who has a capacity for both kindness and brutality.
Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (the creators of The Expanse) were very cooperative when working with the devs, and a lot of their feedback and ideas were integrated into the game. They also gave notes to the team throughout the games development.
Space would be a great place to die.
Some characters from the show will appear in the game.
You may or may not shed a tear or two depending on the choices you make.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is free on Steam until April 9 12 pm CT. It's normally $40 they tell me. It's a strategy game. Since there's no cost to grabbing it, if you like Battlestar Galactic maybe it's for you.
I assume the first monster is a Drowner, I guess the second one is a water hag maybe, but what is the third monster?
Edit: Is the 3rd monster a rottfiend?

The sad thing is that this is starting to look like it will be the highest rated game Sega has released in years.
