So last night our family dog passed away. Ponyo. She was 13, so was basically near the end of her life, but still, it was all so sudden... W… moree expected more of a sign, or gradual decline, but... that was not to be.
It's... gonna be weird, and sad for a while I'm sure. I'm mostly afraid of how this might affect me today, this week, next month, etc. Not sure if I should inform my manager at work about this just in case, but that probably seems wise?
I think it still hasn't fully hit me yet because I'm still in shock about the whole thing. It all just unfolded so fast.
She was perfectly fine yesterday morning. By sheer coincidence, my sister is back in town this week to visit a friend/loiter around the Taylor Swift venue if she can get a ticket. So she was happy to see her, and the whole family was here to comfort her in her final moments...

Thanks guys. Just trying to take it one day at a time. It's mostly really strange since my brain keeps expecting to see her lounging around the house, but... no...
Today I worked, but only for 4.5 hours (just half of my scheduled shift). Everything was a little too overwhelming with how busy it was and my emotional state keeps thinking of Ponyo. It was tough to hold back tears once or twice today...

I'm really sorry Chicken. It ain't easy. Losing a pet, as one as beloved as Ponyo, hurts. I remember when my cat Percy died. We had her for 17 years. We came back home for Thanksgiving and she greets us. My dog came up and saw hi to her (they loved each other) and then within moments she was on the ground and shaking and then was gone. We didn't have enough time to get a towel to wrap her and take her to the vet. Heart attack, we figured. But she waited for us. We were gone for days, and she waited for us to die in our presence. That's how my mother described it, and it always stuck with me. We were petting her freshly-departed corpse, and my mother was just saying "Thanks for waiting" in a sweet way. I am glad we were with her at the end. I would have been devastated if she had died alone without us, us finding her body after the fact. We buried her in the backyard. It was many years ago, but I miss her still. It hurts.

Hey Chicken, I know losing pets is hard. I still think about the bird I had named Quincy that passed away years ago. It’s hard to describe to someone who hasn’t owned pets or hasn’t thought much about them. I’m sorry for your loss and may your dog rest in peace.

I think I'm probably going to skip watching the game awards this year. The main reason I've even been watching them live for the last few years has been for Wolf 2, and the way I see it if it shows up I'll probably find out not long after it happens anyway. I think I've finally grown too tired of the 3 hour advertisement show. So unless Telltale just says go watch it, I don't think I'll watch this time.
Plus if I don't watch it'll 100% be there, so you're welcome everyone. That or we finally get that 2025 "delay" update, let's go!
Thank you for your sacrifice poogs, I'm hoping this finally manifests it into existence, again (again) 😢🙏
Oh yeah happy 12th anniversary of TWD S1 Episode 5 btw! #LeeForever
(I've been thinking I might play the delisted "Collection" version of TWD, since it was marketed a ton that they improved visuals and character models for TWDS1... -- It was a pre-order bonus for TWD S4 that I never checked out heh... yet!

So... someone at Square Enix or Deck Nine might be in big trouble for abusing a copyright law, because Max/Chloe shippers are having their posts taken down on reddit for criticizing the omission of Chloe from the new DE game...
What, how can you abandon us, 3 hours of ads and approximately 17.9 minutes of games and that's suddenly not good enough? You have better uses of your time? Nonsense! Now come and watch the Swedish chef had an awkward skit with Geoff Keighley and hear references to memes that went out of touch 8 months ago.

I mean who doesn't like seeing 3 minutes of Anthony Mackie playfully yelling something unintelligible at the audience that the mics barely pick up, while also presenting an award at the same time?!
[This Chicken will most likely still watch the awards, because he is a fool that hopes the structure will change this year... also ngl he also likes some of the announcements... 😓]

I'll probably watch The Game Awards, but I am still annoyed 1000xResist got snubbed hard, no nominations, not even for Games for Impact or Best Debut Indie... come on.
TFTBL is now 10 years old. It is really weird to think that 10 years ago everyone thought this game was going to be bad but then once it came out everyone really loved it and now I think most people would consider it as one of Telltale's absolute best games. It was also probably the best time on here. Like even though the episode waits were really long it was a lot of fun just talking about the game. Tales was just such a blast and I really miss that time.
Not to sound downer, its also so weird thinking how old the game is now. Like when Telltale shutdown, the game wasn't even 4 yet. Crazy.
Anyway. Epic game. Reminder to go back and listen to some of the music.
Son of a bitch. Not a good week to be an ex-BioWare developer. First Casey Hudson's studio shuts down, then the very next day, Mac Walters' studio follows.

Happy belated birthday, Tales from the Borderlands!
It's genuinely impressive what Telltale managed to create with that silly universe. Such a hilarious game that knew when to get serious and pull at your hearstrings with a cast full of loveable unforgettable characters. It's a shame Gearbox doesn't share the same passion for the franchise as Telltale developers did.
And yes, TftB forums era was the best era. Only the most epic gamers remember.

Been away for a full month, what the hell? Anyways, let me recap some things:
I left Twitter. Need I say why? So I joined BlueSky, which I can assure you is a much better place to make friends and discuss with gamers, creators and artists alike. It made me grow very positively. No more bots, no more over-negativity and most importantly, no more Musk and his garbage politics.
I didn't play Until Dawn Remake but from what I have seen in a certain review, I think it's safe for me to say this is the most soulless game remake of this generation so far. It has worse art style, worse soundtrack (No fucking "O'Death" music for the intro, mind you), worse atmosphere and it only has two new scenes that don't make much of a difference besides setting up a fucking sequel. As someone who used to be obsessed with this game 9 years ago, this game no longer means anything to me. They are too fucking late to make a sequel to this. Who cares about this "interactive movie" genre anymore?
Not to mention, how are they even gonna handle Josh's character now that he is alive? Rami Malek became a Hollywood star and he wasn't even back for the remake.
I loved Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, it's the best DLC/Expansion I've played in a very long time. That being said, The Game Awards must be on drugs to put this one in the "GOTY" category. I don't care how good or how much I loved that DLC, this game is still a DLC at the end of the day. You can't even access it without the base game. No matter, I'm gonna skip this one because what Geoff did last year is just big insult to the gaming industry. If there are gonna be any trailers for some exciting games, I'll just watch them on Youtube.
I drove all alone for the very first time. I had my license since 2018 but never had the guts to drive without someone beside me. Believe it or not, people die in car accidents more than plane crashes. To give an example, there is this youtuber who passed away this year in a car accident and it wasn't even because he didn't wear a seatbelt or because he interfered with another vehicle. He just happened to crash and die.
I'm honestly blown away by the fact that it's has been 10 years since Tales from the Borderlands released. Remember when this forum was filled with so many fans? I miss the times discussing this game with each episode release. Now this is all that remains.

AMC's Pantheon (season 1) has arrived on Netflix Canada.
I've heard it's a really interesting sci-fi animated show that unfortunately got cancelled after season 2 to the chagrin of many.
Regardless, I'll get into it soon and I'm also interested in what all the buzz is about!

Literally we have Horizon: Zero Dawn at home. The shamelessness is astounding lmao they didn't even bother changing the colours of the machines

So this is it huh? We're some kind of The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1: All That Remains or something?
Got a new computer recently, my old one served me well for nearly a decade, but it was time to move on.
Ah yes, my favourite Kenny line from season 2
Does it look like I regret anything? 😏
My favorite line in The Wolf Among Us was when Toad said "We're some kind of Wolf Among Us or something?"
Happy you are finding positivity on BlueSky!

Happy 10 years anniversary to TellTale Game of Thrones. Iron from ice.
Happy deathday, Ethan Forrester. 😊
Wow, I honestly forgot that got came out only a week after Tales. I knew it was very close but I didn't know it was that close!
Of course, how could anyone forget that iconic title drop! Easily top 10 title drops in Telltale history.
