But the other half of the game, not so much. I think my main issue with it is it doesn't feel like it matters at all. It didn't really feel like it mattered who I sent where or if they failed or not.
At one point you have to choose between letting the bat guy meet another hero, or do an actual mission. It's the only time in the demo where you're forced to choose between one mission or another. Maybe the game will have sprinkles of that throughout that will affect your relationship with them? There are also some additional outcomes to the missions depending on who you sent, like if you sent Flambe to deal with the fire he started.
There's not even some kind of point system.
I assume there is a points system, but it's be invisible so if you mess up too much maybe someone will call you out on it. It'd be really weird if the game just lets you fail all these missions without having any repercussions lol.
Yeah I feel the same. I really enjoyed the more "Telltale" part of the game. I really liked the characters and the dialogue. I feel like a l… moreot of games like this have been really failing in this department lately, so I'm glad this game feels a lot more promising for its story and characters.

There's not even some kind of point system. Now obviously this wasn't a very long demo, but I wonder how much this side of the game will matter when it comes to character relationships and the overall story, because I didn't really find this part of the game to be very fun or interesting. Hopefully it does have larger story changes based on the choices you make during these sections.
It looks like your party can level up depending on how successful they are. I can imagine there being a scenario where a certain character needs a set stat and could potentially die if they are sent out with lower than expected ones, and that could lead to everything going to hell in the narrative. Very promising if so.

me watching the sgf when wolf 2 shows up only to reveal the story has been rewritten so we now only play as Faye who must stop a group of drug dealers after bigby gets hopeless addicted to heroine
How much you wanna bet that Telltale never officially cancels TWAU 2 and just pretends that the trailers and screenshots of Bigby never existed?
Being a Wolf fan sucks fr
This is the first AAA title whose leaks turn out to be fake. I did NOT expect Raccoon City to be back. And playing as Grace Ashcroft who I think is related to that Outbreak character.
Soooo, I'm not dead.
But I've been working on some special Telltale "projects". I bet I'll be able to make these before TWAU2 is even announced to still be alive.
You shut down... on a Saturday morning. And I had you placed here, on our forums. And I had that Expanse game, that you liked, burred with you. You always said, shutting down was a part of a game company's life. I sure wish it wasn't. Lil AdHoc, their doing just fine. About to release their own game soon. I'm looking forward to it, everyday. Showing me their new demo. It's really good... And its so good, Telltale. You'd be so proud of them. I am. I know you guys... parted ways... and they said I can't know why... So I won't ask you. Telltale. I don't know if you was right, or was it AdHoc Studio, I don't know if we each have a destiny? Or if... you just made games accidental like on a breeze? But I think, maybe its both? Maybe both is happening at the same time... I miss you Telltale. If there's anything you need, I won't be far away.
A Plague Tale spin off game starring Sophia from Requiem was unveiled at the Xbox event! (Though it actually did get leaked accidentally by the devs a couple days ago.)
Looks like the game will be focusing on a different supernatural entity and not from the first two games. I wonder if the game's supposed to take place before or after the original games.

Just went back to The Expanse TTG to sweep the rest of the trophies I didn't get the first time.
(I did almost everything right the first time except Not getting all Data Logs of Ep4, and Not having Maya Live )
With all episodes installed, turns out the game auto starts the next episode after the credits of the previous one ends.
(This makes Episode 2's intro even more jarring since there's a bit of a time skip with them being chased incessantly for many hours/days we just skim over)
In terms of net negatives, man, New Telltale needs to have games focus more on dialogue choices. The little stuff, while usually not important in the slightest, keeps people engaged and strengthens the "you make your own story" shtick. The game practically plays itself most of the time! Long cutscenes with little input, and when you do you get no timer and only two very distinct dialogue choices.
I mostly managed to get through this entire thing while doing chores today.
Just using my Steam Deck as a remote play device for the PS5.
Good background noise, little engagement game-wise
I will 100% give Telltale/Deck Nine kudos for many accessibility settings like extended timers, warnings, and confirmation settings for choices. Plus colourblind settings for those who need too.
It does say in the description that it takes place 15 years before APT Requiem. Plus, Sophia does look younger.
This is easily in my Top 3 "Fuck GTA 6" Games of 2026, along with Resident Evil 9 and Pragmata.
HOLY SHIT SCOTT PILGRIM 2????! From the original author?? In some new linear story beat-em-up??! YEAHHHH
(also damn I never finished the original Ubisoft one, it got too tough at times, very arcadey homage)
This is just a random thought, but when was the last time the "small talk" mentioned in the OP actually happened? It's been years since I saw a truly elevator-level conversation in here.
Not complaining, just wondering. Forums aren't much of small talk anymore in any case.
With all the amazing video game reveals in the past week, The Wolf Among Us 2 to me is dead in the water. Telltale skipped Summer Game Fest as well and I just no longer care since I outgrew their game design in the end.

I thought this place was not going to return. I really thought that was it. Just to log back in and see the guy asking for the sam and max dlc somehow didn't miss a single day WHAT
Plot twist: The guy is actually part of the Telltale staff and through the thread he was giving us hints that they're actually working on a Sam and Max DLC instead of TWAU 2.

I've been on a cheesy 90s movie kick: Air Force One, Con Air, Judgement Night, Thunderheart, Last Action Hero, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Enemy of the State, and The Rock.
I'm now watching Demolition Man.When they got to the part where they went to the restaurant I was surprised that they went to Pizza Hut instead of Taco Bell. I'm used to watching the US version, and apparently Amazon Prime sells the international version.
It's interesting to see the anachronistic things in its 2032 like 4:3 televisions and laserdiscs. At least they got the lack of Radio Shacks right.
Since Telltale refuses to communicate and give us TWAU2 updates, I went ahead and reviewed The Walking Dead Season 1 on my Youtube Channel. It's not a simple review, mind you. I put a lot of effort on research and editing.
One of my greatest triumphs (a few of the oldies might remember it) was using the edit function to copy an actual link to a Job Stauffer post for like Episode 2 of Tales From the Boderlands and be a rickroll during the long wait for that episode. I fooled a ton of people with it.

Finally a trailer for IOI Interactive's 007: First Light!
Surprising that it's a young Bond game, but everything looks cool! A nice mix of stealth and over the top action.

AWW YEAAH SCOTT PILGRIM WILL NEVER DIE
Telltale, at this point we're just waiting for the cancelation update, please hurry up

They really be taking "Silence is a valid option" seriously.
You sly dog, you're gonna make TWAU 2 before Telltale does!! XD

Ah nice, didn't catch that!
The Steam page is up as well and looks like it'll have proper melee combat this time around.
Looks like it's a pseudo-sequel to Takes Off as well!
The two characters behind Scott and Ramona look a lot like Gideon and Julie.

We need to get him to start asking for wolf 2 everyday because he is unstoppable and our only chance

(Blind nervously glances at the “Asking for Minecraft Season 3” thread)
It was sunny but temperate, then rainy and humid, and now it's sunny and humid. Truly the full range of human experience.
The ultimate astroturf. That's next-level community management.
