At least someone finally thought to ask them this question.
So from what it sounds like Telltale kind of just stopped development because Telltale needed more time which really just sounds like they ran out of money, and then they kind of abandoned AdHoc, so AdHoc decided to go do something else. Maybe they should have spent their money on a single game instead. Also sounds like they still wanted to work on the game and they wish they could have finished it and they thought it was better than the first game. Only real take away is it sounds like the actual story is finished so hopefully Telltale wasn't dumb enough to change it, but it seems like it won't release anyway. Maybe Telltale will realize they should just hand everything over to AdHoc and stop pretending they're ever going to finish this game. (They'll never give it to AdHoc)
This news is so bad maybe Telltale will show us a brand new screenshot to prove the game is totally not dead. Maybe if we're really lucky instead of Bigby standing in an empty room, we'll finally get an image of Snow standing in an empty room instead!
Some direct details from AdHoc on their behind the scenes perspective of TWAU2.

Yeah and then they fired nearly all their staff 2 months later. This was also after they had a few million invested at the start of the year.
So assuming AdHoc originally left around the same time as the official delay, so maybe AdHoc left near the end of 2022 seemingly because Telltale was running into money problems (thanks to funding Expanse and whatever that third mystery ip was suppose to be) AdHoc leaves, Telltale gets a few million invested at the start of 2023, seems that they didn't try or couldn't convince AdHoc to come back, Expanse bombs, they buy another company, and then let nearly everyone go 2 months later and have now just been sitting around with 0 updates to anything since.
Telltale please just hand it over to AdHoc and just take a small cut because other wise you guys are just going to shutdown and the ip goes back into limbo. Although it would be very funny if New Telltale shutsdown and then AdHoc buys the license and gets everything back that way lmao

I said this as a joke but now that I'm thinking about it, the Telltale shuts down and AdHoc buys all Wolf 2 related stuff like the new telltale originally did is a timeline that could very well become real

Ooh, also ALSO, good news potentially on the actual old Telltale devs making a good episodic title this time.

(Aiming for two-a week release for 4 weeks)
Didn't they also buy another whole ass studio that specialises in FMV's?
