Dear Telltale Games...

I wish to lodge a complaint. I today unboxenated my Tales of Monkey Island Deluxe Edition, and amongst the feelies inside the box, it almost slipped my attention that I had been ripped off.

I have the DVD.
I have the slipcover unfortunately....
I have the coaster.
I have the map.
I have the bonus Voodoo Card.
But I did not receive my Piratey Piece of Eight, one of the few worthwhile items included in the package.
EDIT: I ALSO DID NOT GET THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y-Y BUTTON. THIS HAS GONE FROM BEING ANNOYING TO A DOWNRIGHT OUTRAGE

I don't know what you can do about it, Telltale. I don't know if you send me another Deluxe Edition, or send out the coins individually, but I very much want my Piece of Eight.

As usual visitors to the forum will know, I am the one who usually defends Telltale Games whenever something goes wrong, but this is beyond me.

Quick assistance is much obliged.

I think that happened to another unfortunate forumite... and I think Bonnie replied that it would be sent out right away.... I understand that all the boxes were flat and it was all hand packed.... Human error... I would be annoyed too.

That definitely makes me feel better, but I would prefer a proper statement so I can be extra certain.

I'm going to post here because this is a pretty bad problem, but I am not sure what proof there is for you to give (forgive me if I'm wrong), but try posting a picture of what you do have.

I'll do that if Telltale requires me to, but the problem is that anyone could do that and just leave the two items out, which would be dishonest. And therefore a photo would be untrustable. I suppose the only real way to be absolutely sure is if i filmed myself opening it and that displayed the box in cling film and the two items missing. I guess I just have to hope that telltale believes me...

And why they would not trust you?

By the way, did you sent a email? The official issue tracking is from there (I don't see a issue number, that's why I'm asking)

Yep, this one. Be patient though, they would take a while, especially because it's already the weekend, at least in Australia, right?

They will get you solved somehow, I'm sure of that (For the record, I sent a email asking for something last monday (July 12nd) and they got sorted it last thursday (July 15th). If that can give you a somesort of reference)

If they don't help you out, eBay is the answer.

If it helps, the order number was an undisclosed number that I'll tell someone if required
  • edited July 2010
Why I have to explain that always? Don't put the order number in a post! Those are confidential and Telltale can see them any way in your account. Just calm down and wait. ;)

If it helps, the order number was ***************

    Change your post to that.

    I don't understand why though?

Seriously, I think that Telltale will solve any problems that their customers lodge eventually (not like, a year eventually, but y'know).

    Enjoy your stuff, I guess!
