What if you have already preorder Back to the Future

I would love the card game too, but I already preorderd back to the future, do I still get the free card game?

It would be nice, but I doubt it. I too have already pre-ordered it. You would have to pay shipping for the card game as well.

Alright Telltale, this is not cool.
I thought that you would've rewarded those of us who PRE-ordered the game early. Instead you've pulled one over on those of us who had enough faith in you and the BTTF game that we pre-ordered early.
I know that this deal may be to reel in those who are unsure about pre-ordering, but what about those of us who have been on board since day 1?

BTW, this is my first post. I'm a HUGE fan of anything BTTF and am outraged that I am being punished for my early pre-order.

I guess that next time all of us better wait until the very last possible second to pre-order, because those of us who believe in telltale enough to pre-order early might be sorry...

Just re-order it and cancel your original order. support@telltalegames.com :)

But I ordered BTTF and other games in the same order, so wouldn't those games get canceled too?
I'll send them an email about it. Sorry If I'm coming off as whiny, I just think that the free card game thing is unfair to us early pre-orderers.

It's a nice deal, but if I cancelled my BTTF pre-order now I would loose all the other stuff at -50% too :(.
There wasn't a cardgame back then...

What about those of us who ordered it with other products? I don't have a "cancel" option, and even if I did, I'd lose the deal I got on Strong Bad.

Can I trade in my free Puzzle Agent for the card game since I already had PA before I preordered? Obviously I'm kidding.

What about just half the card game?

Seriously though, while it seems unfair to us, that's part of doing business. It's the same as when you buy something and the next day they drop the price 50%. Sure, you can go in and complain, but they don't have to match the price for you. You could argue that because it's a preorder, it's a little different, but at its core, it's exactly the same.

I'd never play the card game anyway :p

RAGE  I already had puzzle agent too.... the card game would have been a much better perk for pre-ordering... what a kick to the crotch.

So anyone check to even see if we do get the card game?

I agree completely, Mattroid. I'm certainly not upset; and I doubt I'd play the card game either. But there's no harm in asking I figure. Especially considering some who preordered could cancel, but not those of us who preordered with something else. What the heck.

This was a 1 day deal, not a new addition to what you normally get for preordering. It's similar to early adopters with technology, get in early and have the perks of having the stuff early while probably having to pay more than someone that buys the item 6 months later. People that preordered BTTF early have gotten 5 weeks of exclusive deals in the Insider Forums, chats with devs and talent, and early access to assets but no 1 day card game deal.

But you see, that would all work well and good if the product was already released, but this is a pre-order. We are essentially putting down our money and adding our name to a waiting list for a product that all who pre-order will receive at the same time. Why should some who pre-order be rewarded extra than others? Shouldn't all the people on the waiting list receive the benefit?

(Just a suggestion from a fan: Please don't do excluding promotions for pre-order products in the future.
The free game and exclusive forum perks make sense when given through equal chance to all who pre-order, but giving more perks to some on the waiting list than others will naturally cause friction.)

I understand what you're saying knightdog, but as it was explained:
People that preordered BTTF early have gotten 5 weeks of exclusive deals in the Insider Forums, chats with devs and talent, and early access to assets but no 1 day card game deal.

I know the game itself is the main platter, but as it has always been advertised to my knowledge, the pre-order perks were what Alan said above. So, at least that part of the product has been released, or available so to speak.

While I'm not entirely unsympathetic, because we've all failed to capitalize on deals (I have, several times just this week), when you paid for your pre-order whenever when, you did so at that time with a full understanding of how much you were going to pay and what you were going to get. As explained, the card game was a deal of the day as part of the 30 deals promotion going on, not an additional perk for pre-ordering and I don't think it should cause any more friction than it does with me when people get the entire Sam and Max series for some ridiculous sub 20 dollar price, when I've put around a 100 into it myself.

What's really a downer for me is the people in here, not you knightdog, but the ones making a fuss about not getting this deal because it would keep them from taking advantage of different, pretty good sounding, deals they've already received. Christmas spirit, people, Christmas spirit.

Well, preorder bonuses did start to go downhill after ToMI... Insider Forums didn't really do much for me when I preordered Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse. Well I should be blamed for expecting a free poster giveaway like how you did with ToMI, but I did feel bad about preordering the game. There was NO bonuses for me at all, and the whole thing went down to 20$ right when the first episode came out.

As for preordering Back to the Future, I don't know, bonuses suck, I own Puzzle Agent anyway, in other words there is really no point. You guys gave away the first episode anyway, which means 1 more month for me to wait for actually buying the whole thing, and preordering it now would mean me also paying for the shipping of the cards, so I'm waiting for a discount deal instead (like BTTF for 10$ or sth)-that people will also bitch about.

Except for me, who decided to finally pre-order on December 4th, thinking there was no way you would do a promotion on BTTF... and it took 24 hours to get access to the insider forum... so I got 0 days of exclusive deals :)
