"Sorry, but it doesn't look like you own Back to the Future: The Game."

I can't seem to get the free Ep 1 of BTTF to run. I installed the game as an administrator, I run the game as admin and it launches but when I put my user n pass in, it says I don't own the game. Can someone help me resolve the problem. If there is somewhere I gotta register or something I don't know thanks

    I run it as administrator, but it wants me to log in. So I try logging in and it says "Sorry, but it doesn't look like you own Back to the Future: The Game. Try logging in again under a different account or pick up the game." How can I not own something that's free? (I realize the other episodes aren't free though.)

    my problem is I try to log in and it says I don't own the game and won't log in. any ideas?

    Also having the same issue.

    After finally finding the download page (my account doesn't provide download links just invoices) and installing when trying to log in i get the message:

    Sorry, but it doesn't look like you own Back to the Future: The Game. Try logging in again under a different account or pick up the game.

    Funny that as my account says I own it 3 times :D

    I just downloaded it and installed it but now it's telling me I don't own it. I thought it was meant to be free? Why does it say I don't own it?

    Ok, I've created another thread in Shopping/Activation support for you guys. I suspect Telltale might need to do something on their end to resolve this. Just a heads up that you might need to sit tight for the weekend, because their support people work Monday-Friday (US west coast time).

    I really wanted to play this game, but I am not spending the money on it until i know how it plays. I am not normally a gamer. Telltale please let me play the first episode like promised for free!!!

    i got it to work! all i had to do was relog into my account, and voila! There it was :) and the activation worked aswell

    This was fixed! All you need to do is open the game and login.

    not fixed for me. I logged out and logged back in on the site, tried a different browser and reset my PC and tried to log into the game. Still says I don't own it.

    this is what i did to get it to work. Go to website.. log out.. log in... open game and log in :D

    Yup, I actually just sent you a reply email a few minutes ago to the one earlier. I'm guessing you can take a look at my account info, but if you need any other information just let me know.

    EDIT: As a side note, I don't have any games showing up under the "Your Games" section of my account either....so that might be related.

    That didn't work for me, but a little fiddling did - I checked my "My Games" section, which did include SBCG4AP, but not BTTF. I went to the BTTF site looking to see if there was a place for a free purchase or anything, ended up clicking the download link again and cancelling, and lo and behold now it shows up in my "My Games" section, and it works.

    BTW Telltale, you guys rock!

    I'm trying to get everyone as quickly as possible. If you are trying to play the free episode you can also try going to www.telltalegames.com/bttf and clicking on the free episode banner. It might complete the previous order.

    Got it working. just redownload the game again, then cancel, then go to 'my games' in the top right and it should be there. Then run it as admin and it should work

    Unfortunately it's going to be a few days before you'll get an answer. I'm really far behind because of this.

    Yep, even tried re downloading and reinstalling the games.

    I have 3 orders of the free episode but no games in my 'your games' section so I guess the order isn't completing.

    No problem Amy, I can wait.
