Sam and Max Blowout bundle canceled question

Shortly after the sale went up I bought the Sam and Max blowout bundle and just a few moments ago saw it was taken down, and when I go to my purchase history it had (canceled) next to it (also several items had discontinued next to them) I was wondering if I will still get all of these items? I understand most if not all will be back ordered and will take a good amount of time to receive, I just wonder if everything will still be in it once it ships?

Thank you for your time.

I don't mean to annoy the original poster, but I need help with this too. The blowout bundle was one of the biggest reasons I was going to buy anything, and if it's gone for good, that'll really suck. Especially since I put it in the cart only yesterday and now I may not be able to even order it. Hopefully someone can help us out :)

    Also wondering about this myself.

Same here, I purchased it on the 4th along with some Strong Bad figurines, if the Sam and Max bundle has been cancelled, 2 things:
1.- my card's already been charged, want my money back
2.- I want to cancel my entire order, since they won't be delivering what I was expecting. :/

I could use some info on this as well

I need to know too. I don't want to cancel my order, but there are at least a couple of items from the bundle that I want added to my order if the entire set is not available. I would hate to have pay shipping on a separate order to get the Sam & Max book and the DVD if they are still available. I ordered almost everything the store offers. I would have thought they would send out emails if there is an issue.

My suspicion is they've run out of some or all of the components of the bundle.

The S&M and ToMI bundles were introduced about a month ago to allow for Telltale to get rid of some bits of merchandise that they were discontinuing. They did say at the time, that it's "while stocks last" or something similar.

My thinking is that due to the popularity of the anniversary sale, there ain't no more...

my ordered blowout bundle is on status "canceled" too

    @Support
    1) What does this mean?
    2) Can the bundle in my order be replaced with the available individual components (Book, Posters etc.)?
    3) I paid via PayPal ... how would I get my money back? (Bundle cost + lowered shipping cost)

I agree - I feel we're due some answers. I can understand there being a lot of demand for the bundles but a lot of the items it it are completely gone now - I can't just buy the DVD seperately because it's not there any more! The least we could get is an email telling us what's happened

    This.

I already have the DVD, the book, and the 5 print set. I really want the symbiote figures, shot glass, and the surfing on the DeSoto print. I'm going to be VERY frustrated if I have to create *another* order and pay shipping on it.

Posting in this thread, looking for an idea of what to expect too. A friend of mine got an email that his order was cancelled, but I didnt get that email. My order isnt showing up in my account page however. My questions are:

    1) I understand if the S&M bundle is sold out, however, its been over a day now and I havent heard anything. If its sold out and I have to place my order again...I'm going to miss out on most of the stuff I ordered. i.e. I also ordered some of the Max shotglasses with my order, and now those are not on the site anymore. I assume theyre gone, so if my order gets cancelled, I wont be able to get the other stuff I wanted to get, not even counting the bundle. If I only get SOME of the items in the bundle, considering it was at a discount, I would prefer that to the entire order being cancelled and me losing everything.

    2) I already downloaded the game I purchased, and its serial number. So if the order is cancelled....?

    3) My card has also been charged at this point.

I sent an email to support with my email address and order number to try to get them linked, in case thats just the issue, but havent heard back yet

Same as you folks, I'm a little confused as to what's going on…

I ordered several items, including both the "Sam & Max Blowout Bundle" and the "Tales of Monkey Island Blowout Pack". Both were available and discounted in my cart. I even checked the on-site sale ads, and it specifically said the ONLY items not on sale were "Back to the Future" and "Puzzle Agent".

Right now as far as I'm concerned (and hope), this were absolutely binding sales, especially as they were advertised as available + were we already charged for these items. This discount is also really the only way I could ever afford the items as I have very limited funds (I haven't been able to work since 1994 as I'm disabled from a very rare & nasty genetic disease… not quite how I was expecting this phase of my life to be).

Anyway, I haven't received any cancellation notice — and I hope my posting here doesn't suddenly trigger one — though my invoice now lists the two blowout bundles as:
    • Sam & Max Blowout Bundle (cancelled)
    • Tales of Monkey Island Blowout Pack (On Hold)
… yet the individual items that comprise the bundles are all either available or listed as "ON HOLD". I, for one, certainly don't mind waiting a bit for some items that are awaiting a restock…

Just got a reply from customer support.
    Hello,

We are sorry to inform you that we will not be able to fulfill order 600130827507238 for you.

Though we had expected all of the items to be in stock, we've since found that many of the items on you order are not available at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience we have caused you.

We have cancelled and refunded your order.

    Thanks,

    Telltale Games

It wouldn't bother me as much if they hadn't charged it already, I would just cancel it and be done with this, but if I'm getting only a part of my order I don't want it at all, sorry. Plus, no answers from anyone in charge yet...

Just received my cancellation email too, most likely due to the Blowout bundle. but now as expected, I cant go back in and order the other things I wanted (i.e. the Max shotglasses) because theyre not even on the site anymore =(

If your order was canceled it means the item was out of stock. We refund the money as soon as we cancel the order.

It looks like they're out of everything but the book and the posters, which actually cost more to buy now since they're not in a bundle.

My order got cancelled, and the charge still went through after the cancellation. When is the refund going to be completed?
  • edited June 2011
This sucks. I just heard about the sale today. I REALLY wanted that shot glass.
  • edited June 2011
I need that damn refund or else my company will charge me and I won't be able to use the card until I pay for something that I'm not getting! Have already emailed a couple times, and no response.

Does anyone know what "On Hold" means? Is that like saying it's backordered and will be shipped once it's back in stock?
  • edited June 2011
Now I'm kind of worried - I ordered ToMI Deluxe Edition and it *isn't* cancelled, but "One or more items are backordered. Your order will ship when all items are in stock.".

    Hopefully it'll be fine.

I am wondering the same thing, because I ordered a shirt that is now "on hold" and holding up my order. I asked support, so I will let you know if I hear back from them on this.

same here. if i had gotten word that my original order was cancelled quickly, i could have reordered them. as it stands tho it took two days to get my cancellation notice, so they were gone by then. and neither of my emails to support have been replied to in the past week.

    oh well :(

On Hold and Canceled mean that it's on hold or canceled from the website not from your order. If we have to cancel anything right now we have to cancel the whole order. If that happens we refund you the entire cost plus shipping and send you an email letting you know.

This will probably answer most of the questions here. Thank you very much Amy.

I will also sleep better now, thank you for letting us know this. I was worried I was missing out on additional items from my order as the status was updating to on hold/canceled on items that were in-stock at the time I ordered.
