About the gift that comes with surfin the highway

I bought that before that popped up, will I still get the gift code my brother would love it. I let him borrow my sam and max cd a few weeks after I got it and didn't get it back till a few weeks ago, turns out the jerk didn't even have a dvd drive in his pc. Maybe if I give him one episode it will coerce the deadbeat into buying the rest.

I don't know if there was ever a way to buy Surfin the Highway without getting the gift.

The code will come in an e-mail to your registered e-mail account. you can either e-mail the message to who you want to give it to or direct them http://www.telltalegames.com/gifts and have them enter the code there.

But the question has to be asked...if his computer doesn't have a DVD drive, would it even be new enough to run Sam & Max...?

    Probably not.

I didn't have a DVD drive when I played season 1 either. I only bought one last summer in order to play Tomb Raider: Anniversary. :) (When Season 1 started, Telltale suggested that the games would be released on CD, not DVD.)

I have a brief question related to the free gift: does the code ever expire? I've been wanting to give the free episode to a friend or relative who has never experienced the hyperkinetic world of Sam and Max, but have yet to find anyone would could take it (they either don't have internet connection, a stable PC, or just the time to play games). I would like to know if I'm pressed for time or if I can just casually hold on to it until I find the lucky soul who can enjoy it :).

The retail version of the game is on CD (but the special features aren't as great as the DVD's offerings though--but that's just my opinion since I'm a behind-the-scenes-commentary zealot :p)

    No, the code won't expire.

    Hi Eater,

Your Ice Station Santa gift code was emailed to you at the same time as your order confirmation. If you didn't get it, you might want to check your spam folder.

If you can't find the email, send me or Tabacco a PM and one of us will send you your gift code with instructions for redeeming it.

Thanks Emily, I will do that. My brothers computer is actually newer than mine, but it didn't have a dvd drive just because it was a crappy store bought model.

I actually ordered multiple copies of the book, but still only received one gift code. What gives??

It's technically one gift code per order. We didn't think (most) people who bought multiple books would want multiple codes since we assumed most people would be new to the games and redeeming the gifts themselves.

If you have three other friends that you were planning to send the gift to, let me know and I can get you three more gift codes. :)

Well, that was my plan. Don't know if I'll be needing all four of them, but I do have at least two friends that I think I might be able to get to try the game out. After some persuasion anyway, so the gift codes will probably help. :p

I just added three Ice Station Santa gifts to your account. You can email them out to friends from your account page.

Let me know if you have any questions.
