[TWD] 2-5 Paid in Full But Will NOT Download

I paid in full for 2 through 5 after playing the free first series. The free series downloaded fine, and it played from beginning to end without a hitch. I paid for the 2-5 episodes while in the game, and the episodes all opened up with the GET button showing. I tried three times to download episode 2 and it would get to 99 percent and pop up with a message that there was a connection problem to start over. When it says start over, it starts over from 0% folks, so wait another half hour and cross your fingers. Just to be sure it wasn't an issue with episode 2, I tried to download others, and the same exact problem. It's NOT an issue with the iPad overheating as I downloaded another game from another vendor I bought that is 450MB and it downloaded without a problem after The Walking Dead fails miserably. I see that many others are having the same problem. Well, I called the number for this company, and no one home folks. Just a message with some young guy saying he'll call you back, but hasn't happened yet. Is this a phantom company that made Episode 1 and 2-5 don't exist, so you're money is being taken by robbery? I'm a fairly patient person, but when it is impossible to actually contact someone from this company that is a supposed Corporation in California, something doesn't seem quite right. Episode 1 was extremely excellent in my opinion, enough to make me purchase 2-5 (at least in money anyhow). Maybe the developers should pop onto this board and explain themselves? If you are having the same problem, PLEASE CALL APPLE SUPPORT at http://www.apple.com/ as they are aware of this issue as of today. If you cannot resolve your issue with this company, Apple will help you out. This I guarantee you. Great game but the total lack of being able to have serious issues addressed such as this one (take my money and run), something is awry in the kingdom.

Thanks for taking time to respond. Appreciate it. Don't know if this makes any difference, but I'm using an iPad 4 and not an iPad 3. Only real difference between the two is the processor and the connector. I called the support number several times and no one home. Left three messages and no one returns calls. Company is based in California and listed as a Corporation, but I believe in title holding only. From what I've discovered, the support for this company is null to the nth degree. I gave up and Apple iTunes gave me my money back and apologized. Doesn't help me though as I liked the 1st episode and really wanted to plow my way through the other four, but it looks like it's not going to happen. Not good and not happy on my end. Cheers

I'm on the ipod 4th Gen and have read dozens of complaints from people with all sorts of devices, it seems to be a problem with the data stored for the ios download. Give us th 411 as soon as it's avaliable.

I finally decided to get a refund from Apple (great costumer service BTW). It's such a shame, I think episode one was great and I was really excited to play the remaining four.

If you really want a refund that bad, just e-mail iTunes Support.

You just have to write to itunes store support. They will ask you your purchase number and other info about the app. It is really simple and quick (as appose to TDW support)

I also having the same problem on my ipad. I really hope Telltale's customer service will look up at this matter ASAP. this isn't about the amount of money ($14.99), but about customer's trust !

    ... for me.

It may not sound very technical but this worked after a number of days of failed attempts. It could be a coincidence but it worked.

I noticed that the downloads failed if I left my iPad alone to just do it's thing or if I switched the TWD app to the background. This got me thinking that it may have been a bug in the code that allowed the iOS to close the connection on the app due to inactivity. So, I just kept the app busy by doing little more than touching the download screen every 30 seconds or so, in the hope that this would keep the app awake from the point of view of the iOS and the connection.

Well, it worked, all episodes now downloaded.

It's possible it's just poor or incompetent coding and a simple fix if TellTale can tear themselves away from polishing their awards long enough to do it.

I love this game. I created a forum account to whine about the delays of episode 1 (how far we've come). I beat the game on Xbox, loved it, voted for it as GOTY on Spike.
Over the holidays I downloaded the free episode one on iOS and found that I enjoyed playing the game while I was smoking or on break at work. I breezed through the first episode and, after a day of thought, I decided to buy the episode package for $15.99. The app took my money no problem, and I'm writing this post on my wifi connection, but every time I try to download the episodes using the "Get" button the app tells me that the connection was interrupted and I should check/reconnect my connection. The download never gets past 0%.

I don't have a computer. I read a fix in the forums somewhere so I downloaded the python app for iPhone hoping I could perform the fix without the use of a computer. But I have no idea what I'm doing, so that's another $2.99 wasted.

I don't know how long the refund window is with Apple, so if anyone can help me out within the next couple of days that would be top drawer. Other than that I'll just get a refund.

    iPhone 5 iOS 6

Thanks for the great game TTG! Wish I could get it to work! Lol

While the python script works on iOS devices with the python app installed, you cant move files downloaded with it to the correct location, unless your iPhone is jailbroken.
If you are not familiar with these terms I guess it would be very hard for you to do this without using any PC/Mac for help.

Should I really have to do it for $15.99? :)
But no, I'm clueless to python. It's very unfortunate.

But I do appreciate your help. Looks like you went out of your way to try to fix some people's problems. So ya, thanks for that! Need more people like that. I wish your fix worked for me though! Very frustrating.

I hope Telltale Games provides a fix sooner rather than later.

If I had confirmation that there would be a fix I'd hold off on getting the refund *hinthint*
