Ultimate fix

THIS WORKED FOR ME WHEN NOTHING ELSE DID

keep a back up to copy over any glitched saves

1. once you complete chapter 2 and the credits are done go to your stem memory options...DO NOT START THE NEXT CHAPTER

2. delete chapter 2, NOT YOUR SAVE

3. delete chapters 4, and 5

4. reload the game and start chapter 3 SHOULD load it fine

5. when you complete chapter 3 and the credits are done delete chapter 3 and redownload chapter 4

6. rinse and repeat

found this my self. I will make sure to never pay money for any game you have a part in for the rest of my life, same goes for my family and friends....

    To avoid issues only have 2 chapters downloaded at a time

    1 episode 1 because it is needed to load the other chapter

    2 also whatever chapter you are currently wanting to play

    never have more than two chapters on your hard drive at any given time.......number of saves "should not" matter

    That is fair enough but I think people are just getting annoyed at the lack of support to people having this issue, is the problem being addressed by ttg?

    I HIGHLY doubt you will see a patch for this, season 2 is set to release this fall so I'm sure all of their attention will be on that, then this game will get no attention(like it is now) besides, look at all the posts of people who bought the game and are posting on here asking for help and getting no moderator responses, even posts with titles insulting TTG have been ignore but one with an actual fix is getting some attention by the mods (negative though it be) cause I struck a cord...but even still this has been going on since the games release in 2012 so don't hold your breathe for a patch

    also my fix only works for people who bought the episodes separate through xbox live arcade...all those people who bought the game disc or expensive collectors edition are completely screwed

    I am a moderator, and not a TTG employee, therefore I also can't speak for TTG in general. As a Moderator it's my task to keep the discussions civilized. There's no need to resort to profanity, to get your opinions across. That's not the kind of Forum we have here.

    I'm very greatfull as I have spent days just trying to get episode 3 to play, but this is still not on you pay for a product you expect it to work.

    just glad to help my fellow zombie killers, also plz rate this post, option should be at the top, my hope is that if people come here with these issues and see the stars they will know it is a good place to start looking

    I tried, didn't work. Well researched though kudos to you. Thanks anyway kleshten! Your more helpful that Telltale as of now.

    This is kind of ridiculous. I don't know what insults he was giving but frankly TTG kind of deserves it. You're essentially selling an unplayable game, are you not? Then someone comes on here with a possible solution and you ban him? For doing TTG's job?

    I'm afraid to try this fix anyway as it means I will have to play through episode 2 for a third time, not even sure if it will work.

    This does work as long as you have a save from the end of episode 2, as long as you have not tried to start episode 3 before you take episode 2 off the system.

    This did work for me too! Thanks OP, you've been way more help than TTG. Here's hoping the system works for episodes 4 and 5 as well.
