I'm VERY concerned for my consequences for Episode 2
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Episode one of TWAU has been more intense and longer than Episode One of TWD. That said. The last choice I made was to arrest the woodsman. I believed he had more to tell and by the next time trailer it seemed he did. I no longer suspect him. but he'll be a good source of information.
that said after the next time trailer, it dawned on me. I remember what toad said.. if Dee or Dum found out toad told Bigby something, they'd kill his son.
.. now I'm very concerned for this. Choices and consequences seem MUCH bigger than this. And I wouldn't put it past Telltale to do it either. But it makes me think..
if I arrested Dee will that cause Dum to kill toads son in revenge anyway since he outright knows bigby knows something now?
.. I'm very concerned. is it the same for you guys?

I think that might depend on a few more choices. If you go to Toad's first and then to Prince Lawrence, you find the fatty in the closet so then you already know something without Toad's help. Not sure what happens if you go to Prince first.
Either way, if it did come to that, I think it would probably be something along the lines of hostage exchange situation rather than a straight up kill. What's more important, getting back your brother or killing some kid for your brother who is still alive and just getting both yourself and him in way deeper crap with little to no pay off.
And nope, not concerned, more excited.
Yeah. I went to Toad's first.
well.. ethier way.. Telltale have improved alot
For example. in TWD. I was only really concerned for two characters. Lee and Clementine.
But this game is making me concerned for a whole range of characters.
That honestly never occurred to me, but then again my conclusion was that Dee would have more information than the Woodsman (or more specifically the man he works for does) so I went after Dee.
If you have Dee perhaps Dum will abduct Toad's son and you'll have to make a prisoner exchange...or not; the same thing could happen with the Woodsman as then twins are clearly after him. In any case I think you may be on to something here.
I think it was a better idea to grab the woodsman, though in the moment I went for which ever one of the fat guys it was. Dum and Dee are looking for information so that makes me think he can't tell me about the murders because they don't know themselves, but I might find a deeper plot if he talk about his employer.
I also arrested Woodsman because at the moment , I thought he'd know more about what's going on ... Then I realized , Dum/Dee probably know know much more about this whole thing , since they were at both Lawrence's apartment and Faith's(Toad's) place , while Woodsman might've only been there by accident.
Who knows ... let's hope I made the right choice and that Woodsman is a good source of information. I have never suspected Woodsman,Dum or Dee as being the killers , but I'm sure they must know something..
I never thought of that, I can somehow see Telltale being sadistic enough to force us to make that choice, wonderful.
I never really suspected the Woodsman in the first place, and my talk with him convinced me for good if I had any doubts left.
After we talked in the bar I only felt pity for him.
When Dee (or Dum) showed up, I immediately wanted to grab him even when the opportunity wasn't available.
Those brothers are no good bullies and they have to answer for the bruises on TJ's arm (and for knocking me out back in the alley)
I didn't hesitate for a second when the choice came up.
And I'm confident that Woody will be a resourceful, badass ally in the future. Can't wait to have him at my side to go kick some baddies' ass together.
if you go to prince first (i did) you end up saving the prince's life. all that changes on toad's part is that he mentions one of the tweedle's roughed up his son a bit, and snow is nicer to the son than she would have been if you chose toad first. //at prince's you get into a chase with the tweedle and when you corner him, the other tweedle comes and they beat the shit out of you. when you wake up they're gone & snow is with you. EITHER way toad says that the tweedle's threatened to kill the son as well.
I think it was the better choice to go to lawrence's first, but i think the game will even itself out in that regard
Woodsman is the better Kenny.
Woodsman is the better Kenny.
That's what I think too. I grabbed Dee just because he knocked me out earlier....which was just rude.
I'm very interested to see where this goes, but I was so upset with the last scene when we find out that Snow White got killed...Props to Telltale for making me feel for the characters this quickly.
I grabbed Dee, because I felt like the Woodsman has had enough, and had no M.O to kill Faith like that, and then finding Snow confirmed that.
Added to the fact I hate Dee already.
it could still be dumb. sure i had dee when the snow white murder went down but where the fuck was dumb
It would make me so sad if something bad happened to TJ, he is beyond adorable.
I picked dee and I took the guys arm off I wonder if I will see him without it
Odds are people will die no matter what you choose.
Actually, I was one of the special few who went to see Prince Lawrence first, instead of immediately heading for Mr. Toad's to answer his distressed phone call. After Wolf manages to prevent Lawrence's death (and I still end up chasing Dee out of said prince's home anyways), by the time he and Snow reach Toad's place, the Tweedles have apparently already ransacked the Woodsman's apartment and fought with Toad-- much like what would've happened if I'd chosen to answer his call (rather than check on Lawrence) in the first place... The one main difference is that poor Junior got a little banged up in the process, since I didn't choose to immediately visit Toad. He was definitely shaken but didn't look any worse for wear; however, I still felt bad for not being there in time to stop it from happening.
My point in saying this basically revolves around one of the qualities that makes this game full of fairy-tale characters so... well... believable! And that is the bitter fact that as town sheriff, people are gonna judge every move you make to the point where there really is no right or wrong decision-- when it comes down to the wire, what really matters are the kind(s) of risks you're willing to take 'cuz blood's gonna spill regardless. I mean The Lady Justice (a figure we may often see depicted in a poster or statue at courthouses or law offices) doesn't wear a blindfold for nothing; in fact-- like the scale she holds in one hand represents the never-ending fight to find balance b/w good and evil-- the wrap over her eyes represents the old saying that 'justice is blind'. Those who enforce the law are just as human as we are and don't always know the right thing to do... So all we really CAN do when playing Sheriff Bigby Wolf is try our best to clean up the messes we (and other characters) make and keep trying to maintain that balance between the good and the bad!
I'm a scholarly English major in my fourth year of college, heh-heh, can y'all not tell!?! ;-))
Um... How does being a scholarly English major connect with your post?
after the conversation at the bar,I'm very certain woody isn't the killer,I just think that those tweedle bastards has more information about what is going on,especially since I want to find out about their employer
In the trailer, Toad appears at Crane's Office along with his son.
Toad or the price...cloak or dagger? Hmmmm I think it will be an important choice, I think bigby will have to save toads son as a trade for dee. Or they'd say trade us the woodsman for toads son for the info they would want. Bigby will oblige because as toad says bigby has a track record for bad outcomes, even if he means the best. So he may want some sort of redemption especially after the glamour/car incident.
How could you arrest the Woodsman. He even told you he just wanted to rob her. Dee is the better source for information. I mean this fat little fucker thought he was smarter then Bigby. The torture will be bloody brilliant.
He was actually talking about Red riding hood and her grandmother when he was talking about robbing them.
still,he didn't kill faith,he has a strong alibi that grendel approved,I really doubt he involved directly in this case
I'm curious if i'll ever be able to give that letter to lorence, considering he is alive in my playthrough. I'd like to, as I did not open it.
I tear off Gren's arm and now... Well, I'm not sure that was a good thing, really. He wanted to kill Bigby, insulted Bigby and Snow but... Still I think that was too much.
I chose the Woodsman because I thought he knew more. I didn't suspect him of murder. Let's hope I don't have to hurt him.
I grabbed dee on my 3rd play though ...it's better to get information from him
Woody is depressed and not much use ...
If the woodsman has nothing to hide he wouldn't of ran, that raised suspicions on him so I went for him. I feel he's got more info on whats going on and I hopefully made the right call.
Well, he ran most likely because he thought he'd be falsely accused and executed.
I'm almost positive that neither are killers but I chose Dee(?) since I thought he would be a better choice. Besides, knocking me out in an alley is reason enough to arrest him. Besides, where was Woodsman going? Is there a back door in the bathroom?
If Bigby ever gets accused of something later on, I can think of Toad either supporting him (if you went to his place first) or being totally against him (if you went to Lawrence's first)... I also know of someone who lost his arm and who would be completely happy to do the same. <_< I can also think of Beast/Beauty (would be hard to satisfy both, uh?), Colin (I said I'd send him back to the farm, which he didn't appreciate)...
Of course, if Lawrence also gets to vote in Bigby's favour, it wouldn't even things in a fair way, so he might die in the next episode(s), after giving us enough information, making going to his place first (and, thus, saving him) instead of going to Toad's an even-er choice.
Anyway, whatever happens next, our decisions will come back and bite us in the a** somehow.
He already proves hes valuable when he says "the girl is involved" in the Next On The Wolf Among Us preview.
Now I'm scared.
Lol! Idk... Guess it was just my way of saying I talk way too much when it comes to this kind of stuff. If it looks like I'm doing that again next time, no need to dislike. Just tell me to shut up, hah-hah!!! ;-))
What concerns me is that I punched Beast while he was down without thinking. I want to get on Beauty and Beast's good side, and I think I might've messed things up by doing that.
EDIT: Oops. This thread's about the first episode. My bad.
Didn't dislike, just asking.
If you arrested Dee one of the 'preview scenes' will have Dee aiming at the back of Bigby's head with a shotgun. Absent if you went after the woodsman.
There is a lot more. Gren will push Woody out of Holly's bar (Woody had sex with Holly's sister) if you went after Woody. And the shotgun reminds me of Lawrence's headshot wound. And the mirror shows different Fables.
It would be amazing if the Headless Horseman was the Bad guy and Bigby and him fought and the Woodsman came to help to redeem himself
