  • I have no idea who it is. I imagined Wolf Bigby having more... well, fur, so I agree that the first image isn't of him, but as for Crane? Eh, I have my doubts.

  • That IS Bigby, it's not Crane. Crane is not a hairy wolf, Bigby is. Also, look at the eyes - they are the exact same color as Bigbys when he fought The Woodsman and that white monster later on.

  • Really? Oh. Well, I don't read the comics, so that explains my lack of knowledge.

I mean, it's in the title of the series and everything.

And people call him the big bad wolf.

The white monster fight is in the game.

Well yeah, I knew he WAS a werewolf. I meant how he LOOKED as a werewolf. I've never seen that from the comics, so I wasn't sure.

  • Actually, from the few issues I have read, he actually can be/has become a wolf. I guess that's another "partial" Wolf state.

The first time you tell crane he's annoyed that it's a fable that could of done it ? , and the person asking is mr toad lol ...

Pretty much this. In the comics Bigby's "original" form is a giant wolf with black or dark fur. He later contracted lycanthropy and was able to shape shift into a human. He is regularly shown as human, wolf, or any number of states in between. He can shift back and forth at will, and sometimes does it automatically when he loses his temper (as seen in the game). So, that's Bigby, just a little more wolfed out than he was in the bar scene. Also, outside of the near immortality that all Fables have in the mundane world, Crane has never been shown to have any supernatural abilities. He's pretty much just a smarmy snot. :)

(To me that clip from the game kinda looks like Bigby in this form.)

  • That's the cover from Werewolves of the Heartland. It's a side story that involves Bigby finding a colony of werewolves. The girl is one of the members of the pack.

    Okay
    LOL
    Spolier Alert €€___€€

First, Bigby is the Big Bad Wolf.
Even if you haven't read the comics, it's obvious in the game there are countless hints at Bigby keeping his wolf under raps.

So here is the story of Bigby and how he can transform like a Werewolf… Because he is the Big bad Wolf, the King of all Wolves.

Hence before all the Fables came and formed a community in New York called "Fabletown" they lived in their world called "The Homelands."

In the Homelands, Bigby was a Giant Wolf, he was, Big and he was Bad.

So Bigby was still a Giant Wolf when he first came into the human world and he lived apart from the community.
Snow White sought Bigby out, she needed him to help protect Fabletown. Technically by Fabletown's law "A fresh start" abolished all crimes committed by any Fable in the Homelands, (Bigby's crimes, he ate a lot of animals and people) so the only real problem for Bigby was his appearance, some animals, goblins and trolls use a Glamour to hide their form to look human. Snow White brought Bigby a knife that had magical properties to change man into a wolf, that she believed it would do the opposite for Bigby.
Truth, the knife worked and proved to be better than any Glamour, Bigby was turned into a man with the ability shape shift into lycanthrope forms and ultimately the ability to change back into his true form a Giant Wolf.

That Image you uploaded, it isn't Crane

    IT IS BIGBY!!!

Further, lets RE-clarify that Bigby can transform in his true form a Giant Wolf, just like in the fairy tale.
In the game in the story book shown in Episode 1. However he chooses to avoid it, trying to fit into Fabletown's society, Bigby avoids

If you played the first episode that should be obvious… The Woodsman choking Bigby, "I know you're in there!!!" While were forcefully pressing "Q" Bigby's eyes are turning yellow and his fangs are breaking through. If you didn't see, Faith points it out and asks if he's suppose to do that, "not if I can avoid it."

The next time we see Bigby* slightly* transform is at the Trip Trap, the fight against Grendel. His claws, eyes, fangs and hair is going crazy, but this isn't his werewolf form. Bigby's as a werewolf, like his wolf form, had black fur. Chances are Bigby is going to fight Beast and transform…
In the trailer, for the next episode, the voice you hear is Toad, who finds Bigby in his werewolf form.
How could you not recognize toads voice?

North Wind is a King of the North and King of all the Winds.

Bigby got himself the title King of Wolves a few times in the comics, I can't remember if it came from the mundy wolves or if it was mentioned in a Narrative Box either way it happened.
Bigby even called himself "The unrepentant lord of monsters." in #123

Oh no!!!!!! I spoiled an issue of a comic that came out 10 years ago!!!!!!

Give me a break...you guys have no right to be whining about spoilers. You're just as bad as the people who cry "SPOILERS", when others are discussing films that have been around 10+ years.

    Way to spoil, jerk.

  • No Mr.Wayne it's Bigby … Violet_Zephyr posted a good thread of Images
Really looks nothing like Crane… It wouldn't even make sense, Bigby is the Big Bad Wolf, here is a wolf man why would it be anyone else?
Also Toad says "Bigby is that you?" when he said that he was talking to Bigby.
In the game menu Click Play and slide down till the last episode in that slot is a shadowed Bigby, the episode is title Cry Wolf or something like that, makes sense don't you think Bigby Wolf who is the Big Bad Wolf who can transform like a Werewolf and eventually a Giant Killer Wolf.
Urgh. Looks nothing like Crane, but you are right about one thing Crane is connected to these Murders.

  • OK, everyone calm down.

@Prince_Charming - you did post a spoiler, but I see you've now marked it as such. Thank you for doing that, but please be aware that there ARE people out there who haven't read the comics yet and aren't aware of what happens in them, and that these people may have been brought to the franchise by the game. Asking you to mark spoilers from the comics for these people is WELL within their, and our, right.

And please - lose the attitude. It's not winning you any friends.

Everyone else: if this sort of thing happens again, feel free to point it out, but try and do so politely (much as you did here) and flag the post as a spoiler. We'll take it from there.

  • The North Wind is a Fable based on Wind Gods of Europe. He is one of the few who still retain their kingdom from the grasp of The Adversary, and is the father of Bigby having fallen in love with his mother during his travels, transforming to mate with her. How else do you think Bigby HUFFS & PUFFS so well?
