LOL I have no clue why ppl didn't complain about girls having their heads sliced but they got so much angry when they saw strippers in a trailer..Seems legit.

Btw this threat turned into a place with a bunch of smartasses in it trying to look smart......

  • Do you mean "trying to* sound* smart"? :P

lol I wonder that as well, personally im fine with gore or nudity, both do not bug me at all,now if there was some illegal drug use going on id be like ".....-__- really?" but thats about it lol

  • Larry 6 had loads of male butts in and Larry: Magna Cum Laude had Larry naked whenever he got too drunk, shaking his nasty nasty! Seek and ye shall find, dear straight/bi girl (or gay/bi dude)!

P.S. I'm pretty sure someone would have had a bash at his/her country of origin, if he/she ever disclosed it.

@Phlegm_Master: Smart move. Now delete the childish ones.

Yep, he deleted his initial comment that was talken shit about US. Why I may not like the country I live in, I STILL live in it, there was no

  • Think they in Germany but not sure they said they lived in TX USA for 7 years tho yet still bash on it. I and others don't like it when our place of birth or place we are living get the bashing treatment when no one rilled him up to do this, he claims it was due to a "bad day" :/
Ya tho ain't those games on PS2 or something? lol

  • Excuse moi, mon petit chou chou, but you need to learn to stick with the truth - not posts, but a post (singular) and "they" were not deleted, but it was flagged as offensive (indeed by myself).
In addition to that, I'd like to inform you that I do not regret anything I said.
I was saying that you guys are still too "christian" to show nipples on pub tv and or video games. And I compared it to the EU, where people are educated and open minded and know that we all were born pretty naked. If you can't handle it, idc.

Just look at the catholic church disclosures from 2013 and the years before: pedos, crooks, tax frauds, well ... the vatican was washing money for the Mafia...

In my opinion religion is the worst thing that could have ever happen to humanity - I did not say anything personal offensive, nor did I say anything regarding american people. I have a lot of close friends sitting all across the U.S.
and I also graduated with degree at MIT.
Everyone should believe whatever he wants, except its radical.

If you feel offended, it is your problem and you need to compensate it somehow - I really got this :-)
Finger-pointing wont help you here, except you can argue and are able to discuss and show at least some manners.

lol, your pseudo-intellectual facade is hilarious. Can anyone actually stand to be around you in real life? I would highly doubt it.

ThePhlegmMaster: "I am not trying to be offensive when I say Americans are uneducated and not open-minded. I just feel that I have the right to generalize an entire country of people."

You sir are a complete dolt. Get back to smelling your farts you elitist ass.

Yeah, keep smiling and waving as you crap on other countries along with the people in them.

Dude I am not playing your game. You know damn well that you are trashing the United States. You even flagged your own comments to hide them like a coward. If you can't even remember the garbage you spew, then why should I have to point it out?

I am amusing? I wish I could say the same about you. Sadly there is nothing funny about a grown ass man who has nothing better to do with his life than troll.

  • Nice one, pal. Now I was not just crapping on one country, but on countries plus people in them. Homeslice, what kind of bushes/trees are you smoking???

  • I have issues with the lack of nudity after seeing it in the rating for the game, and I want my $100 back since I wasn't paying for decapitated head.

If you read my posts not related to you you would see that I said the same thing, we were born naked thus we should not have a issue showing a naked body, fyi 10pm tv normally shows soft corn porn in the states just so ya know, buddy. But again "nipples" we show nipples all the damn time, in kid's cartoons to every program but its normally just males but we DO infact show "nipples". But saying ALL of us in this state are "christian" and not "open minded" is very offensive.

Honestly how do people sit with you at lunch or work? You say one thing yet than say another totally diffrent, what you have been saying its totally offensive here yet you claim how you wouldn't do that cuz u have friend's all across this country, btw religion is not just in the states, pedos, crooks, tax frauds, ect are ALL over the world not just here, just because it was in a religious system is what made it on the national news and nothing more.

Would you please stop trying to act all buddy buddy with us AFTER you insult where we live and us in general? You really think we are stupid to go "oh he said he didn't say that, i guess i can forgive him, der der"

Excuse moi, mon petit chou chou, but you need to learn to stick with the truth - not posts, but a post (singular) and "they" were not deleted,

lost in translation, I bet... I really didn't say it like you are showing off; What I did was a comparison and I described how it is where I was born and raised. I fully understand, that one could interpret my sentence as cliché - since that is exactly what it was saying in between the lines - somewhere! It was bitter irony, sarcasm and friggin' clichè. And you fully jumped on it. As you remember, since you agreed with me on the initial post in some points, I did also apologize for this cliché-thinking, and nobody even recognized and just kept flaming.
In fact I didn't know about the 10pm tv thingy since I do spent most of my time trolling random people that share the same basic interests as I do. In case you lost it somewhere: I did not say, that the religion system is just established in the U.S., I'm aware of the situation. I agree, not to act all buddy buddy, buddy.

It's not misogyny. Some people are just more desensitized to violence than they are nudity. If he thought that they were being exploitative about it in order to attract attention I can understand why that would bother him, but it makes sense that it would be there, so I don't see it as an issue.

  • Well if someone doesn't identify as christian or even opposes christianity they can take offense in the notion that everybody of their state is christian.

That isn't the right place to discuss that, but I myself do have issues with religion and think humanity would be far more advanced if it weren't for religion. That includes the christian one.

Generally it depends on what "christian" means. Most people mean the "love thy neighbour"-part. Which isn't bad at all. Others take it more literally and mean the christian faith as such. And than it sort of is offensive to imply that a whole country doesn't have people of different faiths or non-faith.

  • I'm not sure if I'd call it misogyny, personally. People are utterly unabashed by men getting sliced in half by a buzz saw cutting crotch-to-face, but don't want to know about women having sex, whatever the context. (They don't want to see men either, for that matter.)

Each country seems to have its own standards of sex vs. violence. In the USA, sex is verboten. In Germany, it's the violence.

    eveysolara posted: »

  • I would have to say that sexuality in media can be exploitative, but it isn't always. I think it's a bit silly that people think of pornography as "innately exploitative of women" simply because it shows them having sex. The man who's having sex with her? Naw, he's having sex, men always want to have sex. It's okay to say it about men, but say it about a woman and...

Frankly, I go back to the context. Fables (the comic on which this is based) is about the old school of fairy tales (which have lots of rather harsh sex and violence moments) and film noir (which has more the same). Seeing that, I think the content is remarkably maturely handled, especially as compared to a lot of the source material (fairy tales and film noir, I mean).

Expoloiting women? So if it was a man's junk on screen would you say the same thing? Sorry I just hear this "exploiting women sexually thing"

  • Strangely, nobody seems to have an issue with ripping the arm off of Grendel. (For a second time - he apparently got it reattached, and you've both figuratively and literally reopened an old wound.) Admittedly, I chose not to. However, Mortal Kombat gets an M rating while Liesure Suit Larry gets an AO. Neither of them are particularly "mature."

I like seeing actual maturity in mature games. I can live with seeing a woman's breasts presented in all their glory. (Frankly, I'd have preferred Grendel to have some "attributes," simply because it says something the creature attacks you stark naked. Also, it'd be him trying to show up Beowulf.) Still, there's real maturity to this game, so I don't see why people are preemptively offended. I'm not saying Telltale can't possibly drop the ball and do something stupid and offensive, but I am saying wait until they've actually done it.

  • It almost seems as if you guys are trying to make up for what happened in the 30's and 40's with that. And I don't mean anything by this, it's just an (un)educated guess.

But here's a counter in advance: I just recently heard that the government over here is planning to put an 18 label on kid's cartoons because (for example) Moominpappa has a pipe.

There's some ridiculous s*** going down everywhere.

  • Well, Violence over here is not really 'verboten' though. Let's just say we have overprotective Testing Centers at Times (FSK, USK) who think they must protect even Grown People from this extraordinary Content. From their Point of View.

Not that bad anymore since a few Years but still.. We still not getting a officially Release of Dead Rising for Example.

  • I honestly don't care: I actually encourage you to buy it. I watch the episodes on youtube so I won't miss out completely, and from what I've seen, it looks awesome! I'm not going to berate you about it; why should I care what you buy or don't buy? If it weren't for the nudity, I would buy it myself (I don't know how much nudity is in the entire game yet) but I put myself to a strict standard and I don't cross that standard. Only a personal line; I don't expect anyone else to follow it.

If I came off as a "Moral Crusader", I'm sorry; none of that is meant to be enforced on you or anyone.

    evilcat posted: »

Thats really cool. What about not buying it yourself, but letting others to buy what they like? Is that ok for You?

  • People like you shouldn't be playing these types of games. Don't blame the game, blame yourself. Stop playing games you can't handle, and leave the decision with the gamers. Try Tetris.

  • Objectifying women is a natural course of things in an industry which target market is generally boys around the age of 18 (mind that that's just my opinion, not a fact)
You won't probably see a "non-model" man in a women's TV show either, unless he's supposed to be laughed at to some level.

While I agree having a pair of boobs flash at you just for the sake of the boobflashing can be pretty lame, we can't pretend it's not a part of real world either and cut it out forcefully by, say, having a hooker wear casual clothes.

tl;dr - when it fits the world I have no problem lying my eyes on a pair of tits.

  • So, you complain about unnecesary nudity but unnecesary violence is ok to you? :p. That´s very weird way of thinking for me, anyway, i do think that in this game either the violence and the nudity have the purpose of showing us the dark, grim world of Fables.
