They obviously can't manage one episode per month right now. I guess cinematics and choices are harder to nail down than environments and puzz… moreles. We're looking at one episode every two months at the moment. So it would go:
Episode 1: Faith 11/10/2013
Episode 2: Smoke & Mirrors 11/12/2013
Episode 3: Crooked Mile 11/2/2014
Episode 4: In Sheep's Clothing 11/4/2014
Episode 5: Cry Wolf 11/6/2014
I don't like the wait either but I'd rather wait than play something rushed.
Although I am an impatient person myself, I really hope TTG doesn't push this out the door without knowing it's around the same quality of TWD and TWAU Ep1. I'd regret knowing that it was our impatience that made them release something that didn't live up to it's expectations.
Ah. I doubt it will take that long, anyway. 8 weeks between the first two, 7 weeks between eps 2 & 3, 6 weeks between the others. Let's see how right I turn out to be.
Good to hear it! We'd always rather take a little extra time with an episode than rush it out prematurely... hence the occasional delay. We definitely want to give people the best we can.

Telltale staff writers already said they are now working on episodes 3 and 4. Episode 2 script to be complete would need to be reviewed by the… more writer of Fables for canon check. First one doesn't make sense, second would make sense if there is a ton of content on episode 2 of TWAU which would be more of a good thing.
Although I very much appreciate and agree with your comment,I think that it would help us more if you could actually detail what work remains to be done on episode 2.Maybe it would be hard to tell us exactly what you are working on because of spoilers but I guess you could say if you encoutered a bug or if you're still testing the episode,or even if you have a problem with Sony and Microsoft.Knowing the exact nature of the delay would perhaps help us be more patient and reassured. To me,not knowing precisely what caused the delay is a little bit more frustrating than the delay itself.

So what happened exactly ? Did a static charged cat rub against your computers ? Did the TWAU team get food poisoning from old pizzas ? Or did the people from this forum actually solve the murder in one of the theories threads, forcing you to rewrite a complete different plot on the last minute ?

That would be hilarious if that was the case! "So they guessed Shepard's Crooks huh? I could've swore we planted the Boy Who Cried Wolf so much more subtly... Welp... we'll need 2 more weeks to rethink this!"

I wasn't around here at the time but it said in the Sam & Max Season 1 commentary that a forumite had sussed out a recurring theme that determined who the main boss of the season was. Telltale kept the same direction but broke the pattern that was forming.

Kinda a bit mad that while a person from the staff was here they do not return to answering the questions being asked, is it SO hard to give some info on details WHY there was atleast a delay or at the very least radio silence without giving any spoilers away without the story and so forth?
I understand due to today being a holiday but I am sure its not against the job code for a member to come to "work" aka get onto their own personal computers and give us some simple insight.
We all need to start ranting and demanding info on EP 2 on here, twitter, etc. Not that it should be released immediately because they're obviously working on it, but at least SOME kind of info on it; like an ESTIMATED release date, or maybe what they're still working on. (Without giving away too much info as mentioned in a comment above.)

Well,Telltale announced a week ago that nothing from them would come out this week. Now all we can do is hope for a release next week. But honestly, given the radio silence I think that we're gonna have to wait for mid-December.They could still release a trailer this week-end and release the episode on Monday but that would be too good to be true.
Well I for 1 don't care when they release it. Don't get me wrong i want it now like everyone else, but to many times games have been released to fast and not finished properly. With people complaining when is ready or going to be released, then it is released rushed and of poor quality and/or buggy then everyone complains how bad and buggy it is and that it should have been polished more before release.
IMHO people need to have more patience! and just let the companies like Tell Tale etc.. do there jobs and complete an awesome game/episode. They will release it when they think its ready and it just silly to beg and whine about a release date that locks them into something that might not be ready at that time only to then have them push back the release date. So what if it not released before xmas, Does that mean if it's not ready that people won't buy it saying "They said it was going to be ready in December before xmas so i will show them and not buy it" no we all still will. I am sure they would like it to be and will do there best for it to be!
But to me a polished finished project is more important than a rushed release to keep a silly release date or even a promise to release 1 even 4-6 weeks. Cut them some slack and have more patience people.
I know they won't release it unless they're happy with it, that goes without saying.
They thought they could release an awesome game every 4-6 weeks. It just turns out that awesome episodic games take about 8 weeks! ;-)
I personally believe it was a deliberately premature release date, just to keep us all interested and talking about it.

they could make a progress bar or something
That would probably work just as well as the MS Windows ones. You know, the ones certified to get stuck at 99% for week.... errrrr, minutes.
Large gaming sites should only be considered as reliable if the dates listed are backed up by an official statement by a Telltale staff member or an official Telltale press release. Otherwise, they should just be considered guesses.
Thanks for pointing out the ambiguity in the language of our unofficial FAQ. I've updated it with wording which hopefully explains the situation better.
Last time I've been on this forum is to check for TWD release dates.
Why is it that TT always give a vague period of release (e.i sometime in November) and for some reason, wait 'til the last minute of November to release the episode? To get visits on their forum?
TT are making good games, no doubt but their release methods are sketchy. You can hate me now.
Meh, getting a little impatient, mostly because I'm in a game draught, and I was counting on TWAU to carry me through until South Park: The Stick of Truth (also delayed ) would be released.
I just hope it's not due to having to split resources between TWAU and TWD, because if it is, I'm going to be even MORE bitter towards my friends who are into that series.
Comments
That does make sense. The episodes will be released before summer. June 11th is before summer.
When did they promise the episodes to all be released before summer 2014?
They did on the console Season Pass. I play The Wolf Among Us on XBox 360

And everyone likes occasional comments by Telltale Staff, as well as the best possible game.
Sooo can you give us any info since you are here n all?
It´s funny, that I got the downvotes because TTG aren´t keeping their schedule. When i wrote it it was like 7 : 0 - now it´s 7 : 7.
passive-agrresive way to release growing anger
Call him/her the "Troll Among Us"
Well lets hope it's that, then
I only have a few hopes left, I'll risk one on this.

In the future Telltale should just start saying episodes come out every three months, that way we'll be pleasantly surprised if it only takes two.
...aaaaaany week nooooww... nervously yanks collar

enters Max mode
Eurgh! Let's hope so or I'll have to spend another week in a maximum security prison!
enters Sam mode
You still haven't told me how you escaped, Max!
enters Max mode again
Well, you know that thing where I keep all my stuff?
Sam again
On second thought, I'd rather not know.
That would be hilarious if that was the case! "So they guessed Shepard's Crooks huh? I could've swore we planted the Boy Who Cried Wolf so much more subtly... Welp... we'll need 2 more weeks to rethink this!"

Damn, it's the 30th November tomorrow.
Well if that the case I would expect mer days for it to come out unless they drop episode 2 like a bomb.

Today it's November 29... No TWau yet. Should change the topic message.
We Want Episode 2! We Want Episode 2! We Want Episode 2!

It IS annoying, and REALLY hard to read.
Also - and I DO mean this - you could be mistaken for a spambot and be accidentally banned.

Maybe For U It Is But It's Whatever That Is The Dumbest Thing I Have Seen Ur Gonna Complain About How Someone Types ROFL!
What?
That's just it, it was a 'silly release date'.
I know they won't release it unless they're happy with it, that goes without saying.

Atleast they could make a progress bar or something to keep us updated. Not this I wont respond for the next 5 weeks stuff.
That would probably work just as well as the MS Windows ones. You know, the ones certified to get stuck at 99% for week.... errrrr, minutes.
They could have it go the opposite direction too. Okay, we're good to go.....oh dang. Something crashed.

I was lurking on Neogaf, and on the Wolf Among Us thread, a user said Adam Harrington (Bigby's VA) posted this on his Facebook "last night."
And now? ... Just another "coming soon". Dont know whats so great about it...
