that makes sense but it looks like telltale money's going fine. The question is why not use kickstarter if they need the money before? On kickstarter you do not really have to give a date for realease and the contributors don't get too angry for delays because of the privileges they earn for supporting the project.
worst case scenario is that they close there doors and everybody looses there money :-(
Hello all
To be honest i dont buy games that require me to pay before i have them in fact generally its not a good idea to prepay unless you … morereally trust someone\company.
Personally i think people have bankrolled (just think of all the interest they are earning from presales) the future products of tell tale games. That is a best case scenario, worst case scenario is that they close there doors and everybody looses there money :-(
I know. I was going to point out that the South Park RPG has been delayed several times, but in both of those cases Ubisoft manned up and said "hey development is going a little slow because..." Or "We were forced to delay because..." I actually think better of companies that can own up to problems. Shit happens. I get that. What I don't get is that even though TT has all these real fans obviously baffled and frustrated voicing their displeasure on here, they can't even get a response. Not only that, they give us an "announcement" that is 2 screenshots and a statement we won't see it until next year. Thanks telltale, you are really gaining my trust for your future projects...
they COULD have gone to kickstarter, they COULD have gone to a bank, they could have done lots of things, they did sell something thats not finished (people agreed no arguments there) and now they are using that money for xyz (I dont know what) and not releasing the game to what a lot of people think is a reasonable time, a lot of people are willing to wait and not complaining. Questions are, will the game ever be released in full ? are they willing to give people who want there money back less the one episode? are they willing to give a schedulre for at least the next episode (after 3 months you still dont know a release date) ? as far as telltale games going bankrupt i dont know lots of things of there financials, but how much did they pay HBO to get rights for Game of Thrones. again i said worst case scenario is tell tale games going bankrupt. I am not privy to tell tale games balance sheet dont even know if they are a listed company, but generally dont like the idea of paying for things that are not finished yet

Really is this an option?

And also, it's a shame that TWAU forum is backed down on the community site. Ah well, it was only a matter of time before TWD subforum was going to be in the spotlight. Well, at least it's above Borderlands.
People could have also unknowingly found out who the killer was in the forums and that could have caused them to go back into development on episode 2.
While I am perfectly fine with the addition of new ideas as they arise, I would hope that complete revision regarding the murderer is not the case - given the amount of existing material for the Fables franchise already, it is entirely possible that we are familiar with the guilty parties (unless they are Fables that simply do not appear in the series because of their actions here). My feeling is that, even if we have hit upon who the culprit is, we are not exactly sure as to the How or Why behind the case - and those can still be plenty entertaining to discover. Give us our Poirot moment!
I'm sure they had initially decided to release the episode earlier but obviously they encountered a problem with it.I know this sounds crazy b… moreut others have said it here. What if the reason it was delayed is because they are re-writing some of the story because people on the forum have already found the killer? This could explain why they don't tell us the reason of the delay. And since they are still working on episodes 3 and 4 it wouldn't be too hard for them to change some things that they had already done.Or maybe they had new ideas and wanted to include them based on all the feedback they had on the forum. The fact that people discuss an episode after its release could be a way for them to change some things on future episodes.
Beyond two souls was filled with bizarrely pointless moments but that whole native american segment must be the longest and most absolutely pointless and tedious thing I've encountered in a game. I played and loved Deadly Premonition and that was filled with awesomely bizarre and pointless moments so I don't mind the occasional slide into insanity but Beyond pushed so hard into madness and yet had the most bland straight face about it that it wasn't even so bad it was funny (ala Deadly Premonition).
And what was with that party scene? Who brings an old horror book to a teen's party? What party goes from "whoa Jodie is kind of cool" to "BURN HER SHE'S A WITCH!!!" so rapidly?
This month was the first time, they were supposed release two episodes nearly side by side. It failed horribly. The reason I don't think the company should hide behind defense of, "We're polishing the game, rather then release an incomplete game" they had years to do that. In fact this title was delayed by a year due to Walking Dead DLC.
If it took them a year extra to work on it, why are they delaying it three months. I have zero problems with waiting and patience. When you go into a month, they don't tell you till end of that month. They plan release it "sometime early next month"...those are kinda things could be told early on, and the fan base would wait for it.
This poison of not responding, thinking if they don't respond to delay's, they don't exist. If it un-reasonable to ask for an update, other then its being pushed back. I mean one with information, not just a screen shot. Just my two cents.
This is last comment. I'll make about walking dead release timetable. Upon looking at Tell Tale Twitter feed. I noticed tomorrow. They are promoting the Walking Dead with another company, last week they went for an interview with a separate gaming company. I know the games are made by two separate teams.
How did Team A finish their episode one inside of a year, with so much time. Their actually promoting this game. That means it's pretty much finished,
Team B, released first eposide, yet releases the second three months later,
Is this a one time deal with 3 month's delayed, can we expect 3 months delayed to get the one following one, we don't know because they adopted Warcraft style of "soon" which ranges from 1 to 3 months and very soon. I don't know how any newcomers could read these threads, and get positive feedback.
My only input, instead of promoting it. Going on a new show every week. Why not give us, our very own questions and answers.
It appears console owners are out of luck if they're attempting to get refunded for TWAU season pass. In my particular case (Xbox) Telltale says I have to go to Xbox live support to get refunded. Xbox says I have to talk to the developer. It's just a big mobious loop of fail. I'm going to keep trying to get my money back. I reported the matter with the BBB as well. It's just unacceptable.
I wouldn't expect a refund to be honest, that's just my take on it anyway. Personally I bought the pass the same day once I finished episode 1, it'll be a great product regardless of how long it takes.

As far as I know we didn't have any kind of release window at launch either, so I don't think the argument that it's taking too long would hold up very well.

I don't think the lack of schedule at launch is enough to completely flaw the argument that it's taking too long is enough of an excuse. All their other episodic releases (Hector doesn't count because Straandlooper made it and Poker Night and Puzzle Agent were pilots with sequels) Telltale have ever made have been monthly or close to it. If this one were intended to be any different, Telltale should have made it clear from the start. They've lost that opportunity and it's very clear that it's taking longer than they'd hoped. My point here is they deserve the sh1tstorm if they're not willing to put their hands up and admit the delay.

You cant have a delay if you never had an ETA. All their other episodic releases have nothing to do with this one. People assumed, people were disappointed, people are angry. People should have never assumed.

Enough with the 'quality is important, we're polishing', ninny-hammer nonsense.
It's obvious the talent is aimed at WD2 release. I bought WAU, I liked it. Don't make me wait so long I end up playing driving the game angry.
Even brilliant comic art shouldn't take so long. And if you are still working on the script, then, seriously, what the hell?
Someone writes it, you say 'Brilliant!' Artists art it and coders code it and devs dev. And the publisher actually publishes it.
Enough with the turn-around wait.
This company has grade F on BBB. You're right, it's finished. No game has ever taken them 3 months, ever. Now walking dead and its delayed, why not delay walking dead, I mean it's Holiday's. This just trying squeeze every good review and go on a ptress tour, rather then being honest. It's obvious their more concerned with bottom line, since their expanding. Just be honest with us, yet they mislead us.
Delay AFTER holdiay's for nexy quare of 2014, I'm sure.

It is always an option, but it is not very likely, given TTGs recent succes.
Same but each time i get that stupid naive feeling that prepaying the game will make it go out faster, i don't know why but i can't stop myself
Please don't remind me of that game...

EDIT: Man, I can't get the hang of posting pics. I had two that would've been doozies.
try photobucket then copy from there and past here.

SHIMASANIIII
Sorry. Couldn't help it - Cory was just a tad melodramatic in that scene. Just a tad.
I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I'd seen in a game.
Especially the part where she just yells "You did it, Jodie! you did it!!!!"
you made my day ...lol

I've been binge-watching a TV show and have just realised that one episode is called Smoke and Mirrors D':

don't think it worth your effort , its not like you are trying to get 100$ back .
Yea I guess. It was worth the effort just on the principle if it.

Uhhh...because of exactly what is happening right now. People are overreacting.
If we, the paying customers, were kept informed, this wouldn't have happened.
