I doubt she would of ran and jumped, or anything close, because of two main reasons.
1: Whoever it is there currently with a group of bandits or a rival group to whoever Clem is with.
2: Christa and Clem didn't actually have that much of a good relationship, Christa was pretty much dead on the side and they barley communicated.
If it's not Christa i'm almost sure shes alive, why else would they make it so hard to tell if they died or not? :S
I also think they literally wouldn't kill Omid and Christa both so undramatically in the start of the first episode, there is something more to this.

Clem seems pretty damn jaded by this point. Hard not to notice how different her dialogue sounds now. And she has a bit of the thousand yard stare. I'm not sure she would run up and jump on anyone in her current frame of mind, even if Lee and her parents suddenly magically returned from the dead.

My money is one either Kenny or Lilly. I think they'd want to leave Christa's fate on the back burner for the moment, and I don't think she could have made the several-day walk to the mountains in the time since she and Clem were split up, it'd be too coincidental. Kenny and Lilly have both bee MIA for over a year, so the chances of either one of THEM having somehow made it to that new group in the mountains before Clem is better than Christa's, because they've had over a year to aimlessly wander around. Though, given the epic troll TT pulled with Nick in the trailer, I'm more inclined to think it's Lilly than Kenny.

It was a different hat and no necklace. I honestly don't even think that Telltale was trying to mislead anyone. I really didn't think there was any good reason to think it was Kenny in the first place.

And I know that the whole theme being around trust and "the world doesn't care if you're a kid or not" but I REALLY hate every character apart from Luke just for hte fact that they are being such bastards to her!
