Sorry, in advanced, for the long post. Also, this post will probably contain spoilers about the TV show, Comic and both season 1 and season 2 of the game.
This is my opinion: I think it could be either Lilly, Kenny, maybe Christa or the bandit guy that you can refuse to give water to at the end of the episode. I also thought maybe it could have been one of the st. johns brothers, but I saw a post saying that you are capable of killing them both so it cant be one of them.
First off, I think people are looking way too deeply into the few seconds we saw of that moment clem said "I thought you were dead". We can obviously see she's surprised, even looks a little concerned/maybe scared. BUT... In my opinion I don't think we saw enough of that scene to really say things like "OH she was scared, it has to be this person. She wasn't completely overjoyed so it can't be _______".
For all we know, she could just be in a state of shock for a few seconds, and then right after she becomes overjoyed/angry/scared. The only solid thing we know about that moment was that it's obviously someone she knows, and someone she thought to be dead at one point.
She can think Lilly is dead because she hasn't seen her in years. In the world they live in, you can't EXPECT someone to live for very long. I personally think that Lilly was the type of character that can take care of herself for quite some time. And it's possible that she is still alive, but that doesn't mean that clem doesn't think she died. And if she was genuinely scared in the scene we saw, it would make sense if it were Lilly. Clem would be scared of Lilly because of the way she acted a lot in season 1.
Kenny is my next guess because ... well mainly because I want to hold on to the hope that he's going to reappear this season But also because clem has reason to believe that he died. In both situations from season 1 where we last see kenny, he gets surrounded by walkers. No one see's him die, but Omid and Christa could have told Clem what happened, making her assume he's dead. I also think it's possible for him to have survived being surrounded. Think of Tyrese from the comic and the TV show. In the comic he was stuck in the prison gym surrounded by a ton of walkers but still made it out by killing every single one of them by himself. In the TV show, the same situation but he was pinned up by a car. Still made it out alive, despite the fact that there were more than enough walkers to take down 1 man. It's not entirely out of reach for me to believe that Kenny was able to survive the situations he was in.
Next guess would be the guy that you can refuse water to. It seems kinda weird to me that we would have that sort of option, without having a consequence for it. I'm not saying that this scene is about him, and I hope it's not... but it's still a possibility. It would make sense for TellTale to put that in the trailer and make us think its someone we already know/care about, and then just make it someone we saw for a brief moment in S2 E1. /shrug
Christa would be my last guess, but still on the list. It's possible for clem to think she was dead... but it's unlikely that she gave up hope so quickly. Unless this scene of "I thought you were dead"... happens late in episode 2, maybe months down the road, I still think clem would be holding on to hope that she was still alive. We have no guarantee if Christa is dead or alive. We hear her running and a gunshot, but that doesn't mean she was killed. Clem also asks the dying man "What happened to the woman I was with", so she obviously doesn't automatically assume she died. So the quote in the trailer doesn't fit with it being Christa. At least from the information we gathered in episode 1.
Well, that's what I think for now. Guess we wont really know until episode 2 comes out. :P
If Clem had an older brother, she probably wouldn't need a babysitter. Also, the messages on the phone probably would have mentioned/addressed the brother, not just Clem and the sitter.
I really, really like this theory, the only thing that bothers me is that it would be very much alike what already happened in the comic/tv-series and this is canon to those events, however why would this only work for a single person? I know I'm arguing with myself here but it wouldn't be so weird really, since many people would have reason to completely change their persona as you said. This could actually be something that telltale wants to do, all we can do for now is wait and see. Hopefully Telltale wont disappoint us by just showing Christa is alive again. I mean, great she's alive but it's not AS good as something like this would be.

Out of the few options we have: Kenny, Lilly, Molly (… moreany of whom we would have thought to have died after a nearly two year absence.)
I'm inclined to believe that Kenny could be using the name Carver. IMO this would probably be the best way of 'exploring Kenny's fate' as he no longer IS Kenny. After losing Duck and Katjaa, it would make sense that he would try to forget as much about his old life as possible, inventing a new name and possibly joining a new group (much like the Governor in the televised adaptation). I also think this would make for a great series of interactions with Clementine. For one, it would be a great excuse to have more conversations about Lee and our decisions from series one. Yeah, but why would Clementine think that Molly was dead? It would be cool if it was Molly, but I don't think it will be. To me, it seemed lik… moree Clementine was pretty sure the person was dead. Molly just left of her own accord. She wasn't in a dangerous situation or anything. Still, it's good to speculate. I do hope we see Molly again in the future. I felt like they left her alive for a reason (to potentially bring her back later on).

Whether Vince goes to the camp or not actually depends on whose foot you shot off. If it was the rapist, he learns to never trust anybody and stays behind. If it was the scammer, he learns to take shelter and goes with Tavia.

Hmmm, maybe he looks/dresses different depending on your choice(s) from Season 1!
EXAMPLE:
Kenny saves Ben from walkers and escapes unha… morermed (realizing what Ben told him, trying to fix his mistakes) finds a new group and leads it, becomes a badass more logical, level headed survivor etc.
Kenny saves Christa from walkers in building (not realizing what he's done wrong because Bens dead)- Gets hand bitten in process, cuts it off and becomes more of angry, do before thinking, aggressive survivor

100$ Says it's Lilly for me, i don't want to but it's what i guess. 50$ on Christa and 5$ on Kenny if we play on the same amounts. I really want it to be Kenny since i really enjoyed him in season 1, and want to see how he has changed by now but i think Lilly would be more likely for some reason and in the back of my head i'm ready for more disappointment meaning it's Christa. But hey, we have hope, right?
Thats where i think game is lacking a bit... The choices you make dont really matter... Based on season 1, whatever choices you make, game goes on as it would any way, ok you might have a group of friendly folks going out with you to get Clem back or be on your own, cos everyone hates you(didnt really had to go get her myself, some fucker always went with me) but in the end you are by yourself anyway. Having said that i think that if you choose not to kill them, they would have to make a whole different scenario to one if you would kill them, bit too costy and too much hassle, also we would be talking bout years not months of waiting for episode 2...

Guys, I'm new to internet, be nice! I finished the first episode of the second season about a few hours ago and ever since, I am thinking about the person Clementine could see. Considering the facts like tone of her voice an the choice of her words, it was someone she knew (relatively) well.
It was not any person she just met, like the girl from restrooms, guy from the river, Pete, Nick etc.
I have few favorites: Glenn, Lilly, Kenny, Molly, Christa.
It's not Glenn, he's gone for too long, we didn't really get attached to him and the only reason everyone remembers him is the comic books and TV series. In game, not a main character.
It'not Christa either, Clem wouldn't think she's dead. And if she saw her, her reaction would be very different than what we saw.
Molly: na-ah. A cool chick, but she sticks to cities for supplies and doesn't really joins groups.
It's Lilly or Kenny. Judging by the above said, it's Lilly. I think so. TT showed us they can shock us, Kenny would not be a shock, not now. We'll see him, but later.
Btw. I was hardcore Lee and Omid fan, a piece of me died with Lee, another piece of me died foday with Omid, it was so sad...

There's a very small minority of people it could be, and I'm with you on assuming that it's Lilly.
It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Kenny to be so (seemingly) far from where he was left in Season 1, and it'd be beyond coincidence for the person to be him. If the person Clementine addresses is the leader of the group, it makes me more certain that it's Lilly. She already was hardened, being a solider and experiencing the things she did, like losing her father, so her being in charge of people wouldn't be too hard to believe. Clearly Clementine would be afraid of a woman who killed someone, almost right in front of her.
I can't think of any other person that would shock Clementine in that way.
(But then again, Telltale could make it somebody else and I could be totally wrong. But we'll see.)
