Here are my top 5:
Doug (smart, funny, and great development)
Ben (better writing than most others, and he makes you feel so shitty, I… more love it)
Nate (how could you not just fuckin love this guy? He's hilarious, and gets a lot more shit than he deserves)
Russ (again, smart, and well written)
Larry (he is just looking out for those he cares about, and he's pretty fuckin funny in his own right)
Lee, Kenny, Omid as my top three. I think Luke might become one of my top characters if he's definitely a good guy.
Honorable mentions are Eddie and Pete, as well as the 400 days group if we see more of them. (I really want to see Becca and Clementine have a bit of a shouting match. Well, Becca shouting her head off while Clementine stays calm but still threatens her like she did Rebecca in All That Remains.)
Season 1: Clementine & Lee of course. I'm pretty sure they're on everyone's list. :P But, I also like Kenny (he's been my bro from day one), Molly (she's a total badass) & Carley (she's a sweet person that cared about me & Clem).
400 Days: I'd have to go with Nate (I enjoyed his psychotic personality), Russel (he seemed like a cool cat) & Eddie (he had some hilarious dialogue).
Season 2: I don't really have a favorite character after playing the first episode. But, I do like Luke (seems like a sweet dude thus far), Pete (he had my back when the group was discussing my fate) & Alvin (he gave me a juice box, so he can't be all bad).
Yep! I love Omid. Basically, Clementine gets her gun and shoots the girl before Omid comes in. Omid and Christa just hear a gunshot and go to see what the hell she's doing.

You said Kenny was an asshole after his wife and son died, I think he became an asshole at the end of episode 2

If I were to take Season One by episodes, it would probably be this:

E5: Omid, Christa, Kenny, Ben (also the only characters in this episode but I liked them all in this one, so there)
