Has anyone ever considered that Clementine may have seen the man who she gave (or not) water at the end of episode one?
Up in the statistics at the end of the episode says specifically whether or not the player gave water to a man dying. It may be just a trick from Telltale to trick us
I thought it's Kenny... And I actually believe that he's the one those people are afraid of. I've read similair theories. I think Carver is Kenny, I mean... It could be that he lost it completely?
But maybe Carver is Nate from 400 days... Who knows.
Anyway, Clem didn't meet Nate, so that wouldn't make sense. But going back to this mystery, I think it's Kenny. Lilly might be possible.
the achievement change makes me think that it really could be Lily. It could be them ensuring there's no confusion with fans of the TV series and no interruption of its time-scale/"universe".

* She it would just make more sense, because Lily has potential to be a good antagonist for the season

I hope it is Kenny, but it could also be Lilly, Christa, or even the guy she gave water to near the end of S2 Episide 1, as you never see any of them actually die.
Please No one hate on me but is there a slight possibility that its ben... i mean yeah he got somthing shoved through his back but kenny could of shot a zombie and managed to get ben out of there sorry if im wrong but yeah it will be a hard out surpeize if it was him. Plus we didnt find out much about him in season 1 and Clem Clem really liked hime so thats why there might be a hint of surprize in her voice. Also it might be someone from the farm or glen the Asain or lee... cause it doesnt show him dead or as a zombie so maybe someone found him that had a cure ok im done now please consider and dont hate
I think Kenny would be too obvious, there has been so many speculations that Kenny will return, although i think it's likely i have doubts tha… moret he will be this person in episode 2.
Why i think this?
It's been over 16 months since they have even seen Kenny, even if he is alive, what are the chances he traveled in the same direction as Christa and Clementine? And that they traveled the same distance in more or less the same time, it seems too unrealistic, although theres always a chance i guess.
Thats why i think it's more likely to be Christa, although Clem doesn't know for sure she's dead, it seems the most realistic imo.
Ofc it could be somebody else like Lily or something, but the evidence against that is both of the things i said before, doesn't know that she's dead and coincidence meeting each other.

As much as I would like Kenny to make a re appearance I think there's a clue in Clementine's tone of voice when she's addressing the person she thought of as dead, it doesn't sound very welcoming, if it was Lee or Kenny one would think that her first reaction would be one of joy as is the way of human irrationality.
But Clementine can't know Kenny might be dead!
She was traveling around with Omid and Christa for MONTHS it is impossible that Clementine wasn't asking questions on oh I dunno... THE SECOND MOST CHARACTER SHE'D BONDED WITH.
If I would put my money on any character returning I'd say Lilly. She has he training to survive, she could have returned to the motel, collected what supplies were left over DESPITE the walkers and what wasn't enough for the full group is more than enough for her to survive for a long time.
I'm starting to lean away from my original thoughts now. I reckon it could be Christa's baby.
Think about it, we never see him.her die on s… morecreen, there's no mention of his/her whereabouts? Clementine was obviously there for the birth but no more details? What if the baby went rogue? branched out on his/her own and then took control of this group? Maybe started working for Carver too?
Although, Clementine did appear to be looking up at whoever she saw, not down. I bet this is because baby badass was up on a platform overlooking the troops

I was watching someone play that part on YouTube just last night and that glitch happened to him. I was going ape shit bonkers cuz I thought it was Kenny and therefore I knew Kenny would sometime return.. But the more I looked and saw with his outfit, I realized it was nick. Also, the guy I was watching went into another room right after that and Carlos was standing there doing nothing. Another glitch. It was just awkwardly placing and freezing members of the household.

She speaks that line even if Molly escapes Crawford with you. So unless they do the old switcharoo with certain characters, that rules her out.
As Kenny is one of the few characters to have a fixed but off-screen fate, he's the favourite to appear. If there's a time-lapse it could also be Christa.
Hypothetically you could have some weird offscreen process:
Lee shoots Molly>Molly somehow gets Kenny into a situation where he dies>Clems "I thought you were dead" line makes sense.
or
Molly leaves Crawford with you>Kenny and Molly don't cross paths>Kenny shows up for S2
Although that's an extremely doubtful scenario. Having more than 1 character fill the same spot for any major role takes a lot more time and money to produce. It's why Doug and Carley weren't present for massive chunks of ep.2 and onward.

Carver can't be Kenny, in the preveiw Clem answers the door to Carver and she didn't look shocked or surprised. She even asked who he is.
