That's an excellent point. I can't believe, I overlooked that. Before they released The Walking Dead, they announced an update on a certain da… morey at a certain time. Turns out it wasn't the actual release of the game. It was a video preview, the actual game released a week later.
It doesn't say released. It say's update. This could turn out to take maybe even longer depending on what's going on. We don't know ..because they don't communicate expect on twitter...

I just wanted to express doubt over whether they would give it away in December if they planned next episode release in March. Would make much more sense to give it away at the end of February then, as to not remind their new customers they lag behind.

I believe when TWD and TWAU started together that TTG had no idea that TWD was a ticking time bomb. People just enjoy the content at a scary impressive amount. TWD immediately became a priority to them and opened up all these new business paths. Now there are so many intellectual property holders jumping upon one another to throw money at TTG to create their game,
It just looks like TTG seems to be very busy keeping up the cash cow TWD and getting the ball rolling on the new games that TWAU is being less of a priority for them. I sure hope I'm wrong but it would not surprise me if you see TWD ep 3 and 4 get released before ep 3 of TWAU.
Or you see TWAU episodes come out at a shocking fast pace with maybe not the quality you expected them to be.

I don't think they can handle two games at once. If this is what we have look forward for Game of Thrones, Borderlands. They tweeted their currently hiring. Who hires right before they deliver some of the widely known names like Game of Thrones. The Walking Dead Ep 1, Season 1 was also much much more interactive and longer then Season 2.
It's kinda obvious they just can't handle releasing two games at once. I may sound bitter, a tiny bit. We've all been waiting on here repeating the same question "when is it coming" their answer "soon"..if that's soon...I hate to see what late is. I agree for most part on your points.
I'm really starting to wonder if Telltale even checks these forums. Everyone's complaining, and rightfully so, about how they've handled this and they don't stop by to say "Sorry guys! Things are crazy and we're sorry about the delay!"?
It just feels like you've forgotten us Telltale. And after you've given away Episode 1 and discounted the Season Pass, I really think those of us that payed full price early and have been waiting anxiously deserve something more than an apology.

The IGN page for the game says Smoke and Mirrors is due in March 2014 now. I'm assuming that's because the game is due Q1 of the New Year.
