I'm a big Nate fan aswell. Here are reasons why:
1. He's gives strangers a free ride
2. He introduces you to pretty girls
3. He can make go… moreod jokes
4. He encourages you to take initiative and protects you from assailants
5. He does not like racism
6. Old people love him
7. His smile is just beautiful
8. He deeply cares about you and even calls you his "boy"
In summary he's a really great character and should definitly come back.
All I want, is a SINGLE episode where Clementine gets separated from the group, and she gets picked up by a stranger who turns out to be Nate. An as the trip goes on, he gets more aggravated and irrational. And eventually he's a predator and you're the prey. Kind of like Ellie and that one cannibal in The Last of Us.

That or if you played sociopath Clem, you share stories of how you blackmailed Alvin and Rebecca and earn his respect, and then you and Nate are teammates for the rest of the game.

I'm pretty sure Nate will be in Season 2. In fact, it would just be pointless making 400 Days if they weren't going to bring back all the characters (who didn't die) from 400 Days. I'm betting on Episode 4 to be the one!
I wouldn't call myself a fan of Nate, but he was one of the most enjoyable 400 Days characters. I'd love to see him return in some way, prefer… moreably alive. He had a cool sense of humor, no matter how jacked up it was, and although it was a dick move taking out that old couple, he was a pretty cool guy. I doubt we've seen the last of him.
