"Haters" is a highly overused word (right up there with fanboy). People are venting and they're even doing it in the appropriate place. They have a right to be frustrated.

A final entry from me (a Swede, so excuse me for typos and other errors). Many complain about delays and even being robbed because of delays.

  • Trainer TTG walks into tall grass of the internet.
The legendary roaming pokemon, Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon appears.

Trainer TTG: Puzzleboxmon I choose you!

Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon uses patiens... But it failed.

Trainer TTG: Puzzleboxmon use silent treatment attack! Puzzleboxmon uses silent treatment attack... Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon becomes confused

Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon uses reasoning... It hurts itself in confusion.

Trainer TTG: Puzzleboxmon use vague date information attack! Puzzleboxmon uses vague date information attack... It is super effective.

Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon uses complaint attack... But it is not very effective.

Trainer TTG: Puzzleboxmon use silent treatment attack! Puzzleboxmon uses silent treatment attack...

Angry mob of seasonpassholders-mon has fled the battle.

  • Im tired of waiting but thats beacause they don't tell us anything. An update about another update isn't enough. (At least not for me). Instead of this silent treatment can't they just say what the problem is? If they did I would understand and might be a little more forgiving.

Telltale, love you guys but this is not a good way to handle things...

  • So what would you people rather have episode 2 unfinished and with 5 mins of gameplay or episode 2 finished with 2 hours of gameplay?

  • is this a rhetorical question?

So what would you people rather have episode 2 unfinished and with 5 mins of gameplay or episode 2 finished with 2 hours of gameplay?

  • That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Pat yourself on the back.

There wasn't one of these threads in TWaU forums before because... I kinda hoped we wouldn't need one. But all right, we'll sticky this one.

We started to get less "fluffy frienfly" after they chose to stay frequently away from these forums, not the other way around.

And we have all rights to complain, as many already buyed the complete game, despite it not being complete.
We shouldn't be thankful for Telltales games, as we pay for it. They should be thankful for the trust we put into them with this purchase and which they misuse now for around 3 months.

  • only 5 minutes of gameplay achieved in 3 months would be a sad, sad statement for the qualities of Telltale and I would send those news to all relevant gaming news sites, so that all can see how telltale misuses the money of their customers and all readers could laugh their ass off about these sore losers, who would soon stand behind the court table

So what would you people rather have episode 2 unfinished and with 5 mins of gameplay or episode 2 finished with 2 hours of gameplay?

  • Soooooooooo is 3 months the most it's taken for any episode to be released after the last one?

  • I'd prefer an episode of reasonable length and quality released over a time period that isn't utterly ridiculous.

I'd also be content with an episode of reasonable length and quality released over a time period that is utterly ridiculous, but only if a good reason is given for the long wait.

As it stands, we're looking at an episode of as-of-yet unknown length and quality (I have enough faith in Telltale, however, to assume the episode will be of reasonable length and quality) released over a time period that's rapidly becoming more utterly ridiculous with each passing day, with no reason given for the long wait.

I don't think my expectations are unreasonable or unwarranted, and as a result I'm not content with how things currently stand.

So what would you people rather have episode 2 unfinished and with 5 mins of gameplay or episode 2 finished with 2 hours of gameplay?

  • all i see is a bunch of spoiled butthurt little children crying because they paid for 5 toys and cant play with all 5 toys right this second. i'm so tired of all ungrateful children posting everywhere saying they've been ripped off and that telltale's nothing but con-men scamming you. do all of you idiots behave like this whenever you have to wait for something? and of course you have to be grateful of what you have and get not just what you get for free. just because you pay for something doesnt mean you cant be grateful at the same time. i'm grateful that telltale are making these games so that i have the choice to buy them. because all of you had the choice to wait till the game was complete and then buy it or buy it now and then wait. telltale said that its an episodic game and yes their time frame is a little vague but you all knew this going into it and paying. and if not, then you should have looked it up before buying an episodic game. and making a game isnt something you can say yeah my game will be released in 5months 3days and 8hours. you can always run into problems. and the story isnt set in stone either, they can still change things around depending on how the community responds and that takes time. and instead of announcing a release date and then pushing it back they were a bit vague. its better than lying and making things up. and even if you complained so much that they release what they had today all of you would complain even more because its buggy and incomplete. of course i want to play the game as soon as possible but i'll rather have them take their time and give me a great game. their games are great and that polished just because they take their time, telltale games are extremely polished if you compare them to other games released nowadays. and for all you idiots who's calling people fanboys and saying they're defending the company just because they're not agreeing with you or saying the things i'm saying, maybe people dont care about telltale but are just tired of seeing all you little girls crying in the forums about how entitled you are and see it for what it is. sometimes in life you have to wait even if you dont want to. you dont have to but if you want something that isnt out right now then you have to wait. and making games can take longer time than expected. and i'm glad that the dev's arent hanging around the forums wasting their time on aswering stupid post from a bunch of ungrateful idiots complaining and calling them names. sure i would like to have them release more updates but have you ever thought that maybe they dont have any news to release until they release it. it really annoys me when someone say, people are just venting and that this is the right forum for that. people have the right to be angry and vent and tell the devs if the devs have done something wrong but telltale hasnt. they gave a more precise release schedule for TWD and couldnt stick by it when it came to releasing the first episodes so they learned their lesson and didnt do that this time so if people have imagined things or read some random people's posts on forums doesnt mean they have the right to go and "vent" to the devs and call them liars.

I read through this text and....
    I can counter your arguments:

    • it isn't 5 toys, which we want to play with at the same times...it is 1 toy and we only got the right foot of the action figure
    • we don't complain about the wait...we complain about the fact, that they don't communicate with the people, who gave their money to them, but have enough time to give lengthy speaks and twitter replies for other themes and awards they get (I doubt that the PR people are the developers)
    • someone who writes such a lengthy text and speaks in loops isn't really convincing

  • So I've been waiting for episode 2 for nearly 3 months, like just about everyone else here. I've never been on these forums before, and made an account just to share a few ideas and observations for those of you taking the time to read this.

If you can't wait to get your next fix of Bigby & Co., I really suggest you go out and purchase the graphic novels and start reading the stories. Bill Willingham is a great writer, and the art and format are top notch. This is exactly what I did, and it's helped me survive the wait for these reasons:

    a) If you know nothing of the Fables canon, you'll really learn to appreciate the small things you may not have noticed before while playing the game. I won't provide details, purposely, as I am NOT a great writer :)

    b) There are so many books, it will provide just enough of a buffer for you that when you're finished, episode 2 will just have to be ready (won't it? Here's to hoping at least)

    c) This will simultaneously whet your appetite, and keep your love for this series going. Having done this, I really like or despise these characters more now than when I first played TWAU.

That being said, it's a forum. It's the right place for you to voice your concerns regarding any delays the game seems to be having. But, let's try and do it constructively, alright? The holidays have just passed, and no doubt TT devs wanted to spend time with their families just as much as you wanted to do with yours. They're people, too, and should be treated as such. Anonymity on the internet doesn't give anyone the right to disparage another human being. Think before you type, and try to have fun, that's what this thing is all about, isn't it?

    Thanks for listening.

  • @TelltaleGames

We are expecting an update on #TheWolfAmongUs next month. Stay tuned.

@Leafless i agree with all of that, i dont want to wait anymore than you do but people dont have to be jerks about it thats all i'm saying. complain and talk like an adult instead of just crying in the forums. and yeah their pr people should do a better job but you can sometimes find devs on their forums and it seems like people are complaining about the devs not hanging around the forums and answering the same stupid questions all the time. and this isnt a piece of a toy, its more like 1 toy in a collection of toys. like the toys in the happy meals from mcdonalds, they change it every week. and if you see it as the leg of your action figure and you want the whole toy now you shouldnt have bought the toy if you knew you only get the leg right now and dont want to play with only the leg right now. i assume they use this model so they can afford to make the game and also tailor the story depending on the reaction they get to the story

  • 'Studio of the year award' what!!?!?

I guess they didn't bother to check with the community.. I call a revote! Lol.. You know.. i bet it was actually an award for "Worst studio of the year award" and they shortened it so they had something positive to post, lol.

Seriously though.. I read a comment a few pages back someone wrote .. "tellfale" I totally agree at this point.. There is no effort of anything towards customers.. No information or communication, no professional forward planning as to avoid this delay.. for example completing the damned episodes before you release to first allowing for w/e changes from the input of the community.. Cause if you complete 100% of the game and only have to alter 20%.. That is 80% ahead of the curve so wth on that one.. Hell even post polls as to gather input from the community and control what it is you may alter to some extent thus allowing for areas to be left open.. Even if you did a 100% episode.. you could release some bonus DLC later on saying.. This is what we planned before the changes offered from the community.. Thus more money and more play for fans.. Yall are just stupid! YOU ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH TO HANDLE 2 MORE GAMES IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE 2 GAMES AS IT IS!!
