A couple of reference points from Sam & Max Season 1:
I believe they did have a substitute voice actor for Max for one episode, due to illness from the expected voice actor. Many voice actors are good at imitating each other.
And they did make a change when people started solving the mystery too soon. I won't go into specifics, because I don't want to spoiler-tag this comment, but it wasn't a major change that required weeks of rework. Hopefully they've got a few twists planned down the road that they can still revise if needed.

Any wikis should never be trusted for release dates, since they can be edited by anyone. Only trust dates that come from Telltale staff on th… moree Telltale forum, on the Telltale blog, on Telltale's twitter, or on gaming websites that have interviews with Telltale staff (but only when those websites have official interviews, as even those websites have tendencies to use untrustworthy placeholder dates).
There haven't been any official time frames released, but the latest news from Telltale's PR person @puzzlebox, just four days ago, is that Telltale have been hard at work on episode two throughout the holiday season, and that they are still working on it now.

well considering they've said that they were on acid at an award show in dresses it could just be trial and error with drugs... knowing our beloved south park creators of course.

This is why you don't go and work on 2 games simultaneously telltale. 2-3 weeks per episode, more like 2-3 months...
Do try to meet your deadlines, if not just update them as you are confusing a lot of people - forcing them to check what is going on in here.

I am excited about Game of Thrones though.
I wouldn't be concerned as much about it being prequel. Telltale already prove that they can make great games even for people who saw franchise first time (like: TWAU).
(Though I really am concerned as to how long episodes will be delayed later on ;P)
Being an industry worker myself, I understand that there can be a thousand and one complicated reasons to delay a game, but seriously: TWAU is Telltale's best work in YEARS (based on my personal opinion) and one of the best detective adventure games since hell knows when. Screw Walking Dead (that franchise is weaker than this one), screw Game of Thrones (we already have great series on TV), tell us what the heck happened to Bigby and Woody!

Also, I should been writing something for university classes. I probably won't make it, though, as I'll be here pressing F5 for this damn update they're witholding from us entire time. (No, not really - but maybe someone with power takes pity at our collective misery.)

Every day since New Years I visit the forum hoping it will be the day a release date is at least announced. Every day I am disappointed.
