Am I the only one who didn't talk to Alvin while breaking in?

edited January 2014 in The Walking Dead

When I watch youtube videos or read some threads, people always come across Alvin while searching for supplies for the stitches. I was just wondering if I was the only one this didn't happen to.

  • Nope. On my primary playthrough I thought it would be too risky so I avoided it.

  • I didn't talk to himeither. When is it possible?

  • not on my first play through

  • When you sneak in. I'm pretty sure he catches you if go a certain way.

On my first playthrough I wasn't even aware that I could speak to Alvin and have him hand over some supplies, I just simply ignored the windows and searched for some hole to crawl through to get inside the house.

    EDIT: Fixed the spelling error.

  • I didn't talk to him either; I thought it would blow my cover.

  • He doesn't catch you, you approach him after listening to Rebecca bitch him out.

    Yep, same here.

When I found out I could do that, I had to replay the episode to have that talk with him.
Maybe it will make him be even nicer to Clem in the future episodes.

  • Or meaner, if you threatened him.

  • I figured that the worst that could happen is a couple of people get pissy with me. OOOOOOoooooooooooooooooHHHHHH! Because if they killed me, then I'd just restart, no problems.

  • I didn't. I thought it'd be waaaay too risky. I could've got killed.

  • I did talk to him and the reason why is because I thought to myself if anyone is gonna help its gonna be this guy so i might as well go for it and well it worked

  • The whole purpose of sneaking out was so no one would know what was happening until I stitched myself up. Alerting anyone, even someone seemingly sympathetic, defeated that purpose.

So no, I didn't talk to him. I didn't know it was an option, but even if I had known I wouldn't have risked it.

  • I went straight incognito

  • It was Alvin who I had Clem look at when she first got to the house. So I went to his window hoping to have his sympathy and of course he gave her the bandages and juice box.. It wasnt until I watched some youtube playthroughs that I saw you can skip talking to Alvin and still get all Clem needed to stitch her arm.

  • Didnt do it either; even if I had seen the option I would have left it you were meant to be hidden

  • The first time I played through I didn't even know you could talk to him. Second time I just went to knock on the window for kicks. At least this time Clem had a nice strong drink while stitching. But I forgot about the gold watch...

  • I did talk to him too, when the group arguing what should do,he was the only one who wanted to help me.So i thought he would help me because he is a good man.

  • ^^ exactly. Didn't know I could talk to Alvin, yet even if i did I was pretty skeptical of the whole cabin group after locking Clem in the shed.
