This is beyond ridiculous. I couldn't care less about all their excuses and their "perfect storm" of bad things that have happened. The bottom line is TellTale is taking on too many projects and they cannot provide their existing titles with the service required by their customers. As much as I enjoyed Episode 1, I just wish I could get my money back now. I woke up this morning, fired up the 360 and bam, another screw up my TT. I have lost all confidence in this company. They clearly no longer have the capability to do this with a high level of quality. They got me here, but they'll never get another nickel from me.
First my Walking Dead becomes unplayable because of the "storage device lost" glitch. And now this. I won't be surprised if we see more things like this happen in the future.

I will probably actually get the rest of season 2 for The Walking Dead, but that's it. Mainly because season 1 is still unplayable for me as well as many others. Making us season pass holders wait for content just added to my growing disappointment with Telltale.
But yeah, next time I'll be sure to stick to Walking Dead only (if they manage to ship a complete, crash-free version).

It's been hours since the first post and not a single reply or announcement from Telltale. And the reports that I've been hearing, that season pass holders are being made to wait until all the episodes are released, better not be true as if it is I want a refund and they can stick their games were the sun don't shine.
I haven't heard that rumor and in the episode screen where the season pass is listed, it clearly states "play them as they become available" so I don't think that would be the case.

Same issue. I even tried to re-download the season pass & episode 1 hoping that would trigger the season pass benefits, unfortunately, to no avail. Please repair, I think we have all waited patiently and long enough for episode 2.
Yes this is annoying, and I am annoyed I can't play it when it's available to everyone else. But my God are people overreacting. It has been a few hours and people want to crucify Telltale for not being able to play. Just wait a while.
For the people spreading the stupid rumour that they will only let you play after all the season has been released: please read what it says on the season pass in-game. The words are similar to "Play episodes 2-5 AS THEY ARE RELEASED". If they prevent you from playing episode 2, they are going against the law by blatantly advertising something untrue. They can't do that, and they won't do that, so please THINK before you post some ridiculous and obviously untrue rumour.

It's disappointing to see that there hasn't been a response yet to this issue (unless they've done so in another thread...), however if you're vehemently upset, please try to at least maintain some level of calm. Telltale didn't pull a 'Mass Effect 3' here, e.g. they didn't intentionally give everyone a giant middle finger.
It's a glitch. A disappointing and even infuriating glitch, but they happen. We know Microsoft has a...problematic approval system for game downloads so it's quite possible this slipped passed TT's testers. I'm sure they're on it (keep in mind, they've had this problem before with other Season Pass games, so it's doesn't reflect well on them or future purchases if they don't bust their humps to figure things out).
So, in the meantime, let's just take a breath and try to show a little patience. It's day one. Even if you paid $15 (or overseas equivalent) that doesn't warrant flaming Telltale. For the amazing first episode they gave us with TWAU, I'm willing to cut them a little slack. Now, if two or three days pass and there isn't a response or any kind of fix attempt, well even I can't quite muster up a defense. But, for now, let's just see what happens and trust in a bit of hope here.
Same problem. I had downloaded Episode 1 when it was available in October, and I decided to get the season pass now that Episode 2 is released. I paid $15 and it downloaded successfully. I tried to play Episode 2 but it said I had to download that individual episode and pay $4.99, when the system should have registered that I paid for the season pass, and therefore the episode, already. I don't know if I'm going to be charged twice by doing what it says and downloading the individual episode, or if the $4.99 is in fact the "reduced price". For now I am just going to leave it as is and not download it/pay for it individually, but if Telltale could respond to me and others who are having this problem I'd be appreciative.
If you scroll down on the information that comes up in the Microsoft prompt when you select the download option it does specifically say (paraphrasing) 'Season Pass Holders do not download from here, will be charged twice.' In other words Season Pass holders are not supposed to be charged for any of the additional episodes. So you made the right call even if you missed the text. As for a response? I'll wager we'll hear something before the end of day at the latest.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this. We are aware of the issue on XBOX Live Marketplace affecting Season Pass owners of The Wolf Among Us where the user is still prompted to purchase Episode 2 even though they own the Season Pass. There appears to be an issue on XBOX Live affecting multiple titles with DLC offerings and Microsoft is actively working to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hopeful it will be resolved soon.

Thank you, Mike. Appreciate the update. Hopefully things will get resolved sooner rather than later. If you have any information to provide for those unfortunate few who accidently purchased 'Smoke and Mirrors' even with the Season Pass I'm sure that would, likewise, be appreciated. Hopefully the outrage and vitriol will ebb a bit now.

Well its nice to finally hear from you Mike.. We've all been expecting this episode for over two months, and we all agree that the first episode was amazing! i personaly fell in love with this game the minute i played. The thing is us purchasers of the season pass have been waiting quite a while for the release, and finaly the day its out we can't download it unless we pay...? I don't know what could've gone wrong, you see im a gamer not a devoleper or game designer or whatever. I buy something expecting it works perfectly. WE WAITED FOR OVER TWO MONTHS FOR THIS, WE WOULD BE GLAD TO WAIT A WEEK MORE, BUT PLEASE DON'T PUT SOMETHING FOR SALE UNLESS THE "PRODUCT" (in this case the episode) WORKS CORRECTLY. DID NOBODY THINK OF TESTING IT ON AN XBOX BEFORE YOU RELEASED IT?
anyway, apologies accepted. Keep up the good work, and please dont defraud your fans like this.

For the record, Microsoft has confirmed that it's an authentication issue on their end (just spoke with Tier 1 Support. Don't rely just on Forum posts. Look into things yourself) and that they are looking into it.
How about you just calm down. Spewing vitriol and baseless accusations at someone who is genuinely trying to assist the community doesn't help anyone nor does it make this issue resolve itself with any greater expediency. As for the issue in question, it appears to be a problem on Microsoft's end, so in this regard Telltale has nothing to do with it.
They pushed the release of the game specifically to ensure quality assurance and to resolve a previously unforeseen issue (something they've been as open about as they can be). Their trying to help, which should be obvious to anyone with a modicum of good sense, especially when you take into account that issues like this do not aid them in the long term.
So about you stop spamming threads with your Caps Lock and try to be understanding and helpful yourself instead of being blatantly rude and hostile?

i repeat, i spoke to microsoft this morning they said it was telltales screw up. that is exactly what colmolasses said "both companies pointing the finger at each other" and i agree with it.

As I've just spoken with them a short time ago (as opposed to your "this morning") that clearly isn't the case. Either way, just having patience is the best course of action. Filling the forum here with more accusatory bile towards Telltale (the company that understands the importance of resolving the issue more than anyone) isn't helping things. If you're upset, go stew in it elsewhere if you can't do anything positive or productive.

Depends on their opening hours.
They're probably busy right now, rolling around in your money.
I guess when they wake up, all the post so far are in A.M
LOL toadally with you

something like this... http://micropsia.otroscines.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/breakingbad10.jpg
You can pretty much count on never.
You should see their executive bathroom.

lol
So at least send a sorry-about-this email, if you can't reply here, TellTale. Keeping silent just makes you pathetic.
sorry-about-this??? GIVE US TWD SEASON 2 pass FOR FREE! we deserve it!
I'm having the same issue
just like Sarbeth said they'll never get another nickel from him or me or many of us here if they treat us like this

MS Support is looking into it as we speak:
MS support cant do shit about it! they're part of the problem!
Confirmed! Season Pass is broken:(( Been charged 3,99 pounds((( That's lame telltale. Need refund.
I hope it gets fixed soon, I have been wait for awhile now.
I tried redownloading it too!
yeah me too.. since.... NOVEMBER?
