He's Not The Real Crane!

edited February 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

Obviously. But i actually have my argument. In the preview of episode 3,there's one scene with Crane getting in his car.A glamour bottle rolls in the backseat. Was it Snow's?I don't think so.Bigby had the bottle and, since he thought that Crane was the murderer,he wouldn't just give it to him.Was it another glamour bottle,a spare one?I dunno. But seriously, one thing i know for sure:that can't be the real Crane.Why?Because...reading the comics is actually an argument. And i did read the comics. So yeah. This is the only explanation i came up with so far,but i think it kinda makes sense. He must've been a fake Crane, and that would...Well,it should explain the glamour bottle. What d'you guys think?
OwO<---i am waiting patiently,without blinking,for your comments

  • Yeah, that's why he had the glamour thing, just like the troll had.

  • I guess anything is possible, but I just figured the glamour bottle in Crane's car was just the same one from episode 2. I figured that Bigby left it at the Woodland's in evidence.

  • that can't be the real Crane.Why?Because...reading the comics is actually an argument.

Yes, it actually is, against you. Think about it, if he isn't the real Crane, then why did Bigby react that way when he meet him again in the comics?

  • Nope, you guys all wrong. He is real Crane.

Crane made business with Boss. Dum and Dee's Boss. He bought black market glamour from him and some other business too.

I think, Crane just "allowed" murders.

  • Actually, if he was glamoured as Crane, Bigby will eaisily understand it with his nose.

  • I dunno...It just doesn't makes sense,if the real Crane murdered those women, why was he not thrown in the Witching Well? And do you think Fables would actually entrust their society in the hands of a criminal? Why would some even try to be decent with him?Think about it.And anyway, this is just a theory.

I dunno...I guess i will just stick with my theory until i find a better one,or until the next episode comes out.Crane is still a deputy mayor, though. And one does not simply "allow" murders. What if word went to King Cole?Do you really think Fables would just stand there, twiddling their thumbs, while being ruled by someone who actually allowed murders?Which,by the way, kinda makes him an accomplice...

  • How about not having a fucking spoiler in the title, for some of us the game hasn't been released yet

Yeah, but Bigby's senses aren't actually as strong in the game as hey are in the comics.I just...Whatever floats your ships! This was just what i thought happened...

  • He actually took it with him,as we can see in the Pudding N' Pie.You can choose to show it to Georgie,so i guess he couldn't have left it,huh?Again, this is just what i think happened...

  • It's not a spoiler.It's just a theory.And i don't think it really gives much away,because guys who haven't played the episode yet wouldn't really know who i'm talking about...But,sorry,anyway... :(

  • The game strongly implies Crane might be framed. Sure, he does have an obsession with Snow and he did in fact had contact with Lily(no pun intended) but he didn't kill her. It was also never implied in the comics that he actually killed anyone, not directly at least. As i'm sure you know, Bigby kills him because he was a double agent for The Adversary.

  • I haven't gotten that far in the comics yet(spoiler...) :)

  • When you investigate the body of the troll you see crane is extremely nervous when bigby finds new evidences...I suspected him from that moment...

  • I know, how he says it might be dangerous and shit.

  • Crane in the comics is a pervert and is fired for sexually harassing Snow and embezzling funds, and Bigby ends up killing him. Could be someone framing Crane, though Episode 2's ending perfectly fits his Fables character.

  • I don't think most of us think Crane was the murderer. The discovery of his Snow fetish and use of illegal glamours is enough for him to lose his job and try to escape the law. The fact he's now the main suspect in a murder case is also enough for him to run, even if he's innocent.

  • I didn't mean to spoil you. But you did say you've read the comics.... For what it's worth, i'm sorry.

  • No, that was the real Crane and the glamour bottle was the one Lily had. And the comics prove that it's the real Crane since the Comics establish that he is a creep and a pervert and that he was kicked out of Fabletown. Obviously, the events of the Wolf Among Us is the reason why he was kicked out.

  • Hmm...Maybe i SHOULD read more of the comics before posting these kind of threads.

  • No, the his nose is just as strong and that was the real Crane.

  • But Crane eventually loses his Deputy Mayor position, obviously this scandal is what causes him to lose it.
