I looked up his name in the credits and it says his name is Kevin Howarth, i can't see TWAU listed in his imdb page http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0397721/ but the actor is from the UK so i guess its the same guy.
I signed up to reply to this. I really don't like the changed accent, it doesn't match his personality or appearance. I though the accent in the trailer was much more fitting for his look and mannerisms. Definitely sounds more like a bad (West) Yorkshire Accent than anything else, it reminds me of the awful radio plays we would listen to in English lessons.
I did wonder if they'd changed to an English accent to justify the presence of the cricket bat. It seemed like an odd thing to be in a scene with two ostensibly American characters, in an American bar.
See, I'm also from Yorkshire and I agree it doesn't sound like like a real Yorkshire accent. However, I think it sounds far more like someone failing to do a Yorkshire accent than failing to do a manc accent. If it was meant to be Manchester, we must be talking still pretty close to the Pennines.
Yeah I'd agree that it was a Manc accent tbh, I did say Yorkshire but I'm not from the area so I don't think I can hear the differences between the two that well, as I'd say they're reasonably similar.
I would agree that the accent in the trailer would be a more stereotypical one to give to a shady character like Georgie, but personally I like the fact that they subverted a little and I thought it worked quite well. Would be a bit of a bizarre decision if they've changed it just to make the cricket bat relevant lol.
Also there does seem to be a fair mix of English and American accents that I've noticed in TWAU, I wonder if they correlate with the origin of the fable that the character comes from?

The origins idea works well for the British fables (Toad, Georgie, Tweedledum & Tweedledee), but not so much for everyone else. Ichabod Crane and Buffkin are the only fables of American origin so far. The rest would be German (Snow, Bluebeard, Beauty & Beast, Woodsman, Jack, Faith, Prince Lawrence, Jack) or Danish (Nerissa). Holly would be Nordic and Grendel would be English (he would be a good candidate for a Yorkshire accent, given its old English and old Norse roots).
It's definitely good that they have a variety of accents, and does make it interesting. I'd have put a northern thug in a track suit though, or one of those horrible shiny darts shirt with a medallion )

Oh right, can't say I know too much about the origins but it's pretty interesting to see where certain fables come from and the voices they've decided to give them. I'd presume they'd have some reasoning behind them but maybe they are just what they think suit the character aesthetics.
Haha, yeah that would interesting, could rename him Georgie Saville?

Definitely Yorkshire, or somewhere very nearby. It's northern for sure. Not that I'm a Brit, I've just watched enough of their television that if I couldn't figure out an accent at this point I'd be very disappointed in myself.
On a related note I like his new voice much better than the one used in the trailer.
Exactly! I'm positive it's a Yorkshire/Manchester accent.
Like I said, really reminds me of Eyeball Paul out of Kevin & Perry with his accent and demeanor.
I was under the impression they made him British because Georgie Porgie's rhyme is an English one. I think the cricket bat came about as a result of his being a Brit and not the other way around.
The way Telltale does these trailers, it's weeks ahead of when they're actually scheduled to work on particular episodes and scenes. Anything you see in a trailer for a Telltale game is just a placeholder or best case scenario a work in progress. The Walking Dead did it a couple of times over the course of its five episodes as well, if you'll recall.

Didn't think there would be so many different opinions on what accent he has lol, thought everyone would be pretty unanimous about it.
Havi… moreng listened to it again I have no doubt that it's a Yorkshire accent though, similar to Sean Bean for example.
The feels you give me...I am glad somebody likes me!I would like to be on this site all the time and talk to you guys, but i have school, and since we live on different continents, our timelines don't match. The only time i'm omnipresent is on the weekends .And guys...I am tempted to give you my facebook account on private messages...I would love to be your friend! P.S. Arrowify,i see what you did there...
i felt his voice was awful and a bad mix of different accents, some of what he said was funny, but tbh i hope that's the last i hear of georgi… moree.
it was almost like nails on a chalk board for me.. and i am british !
but here i go again with my wild opinions.
I'm from London & it sounded Mancunian to me as well. I think Georgie is the only British accent in the game voiced by an actual British person. Toad, Dum & Dee sounded very much like North Americans trying to do a British accent.
Yeah, I love the new voice/accent for Porgie's character! Although I wonder, what was the deal with the original voice actor for him beforehand? Did he just simply get fed up with how long episode 2 took to make, or was there more to that? I'm kinda curious if anyone knows!

So, what is New Accent? Somewhere from England? I don't know, really.
And this is really good.
Thanks OzzyUK, it was driving me mad not knowing
I think I can impersonate Georgie's voice pretty well, and I myself come from Northern England. I rest my case.

Aww!That's so sweet! Here's my thumbs up for you!
Perhaps a teensy bit French...
Sounded Mancunian to me. I'm from Yorkshire and I wouldn't have placed it as a Yorkshire accent.

I hope Georgie's voice returns for future TellTale games.

As a native from England who travels around the country regularly I would say he has a Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire accent.
No way that Georgies voice is a Midlands accent. I'm 95% certain its a Yorkshire accent.
Yeah I'd agree with GoldenFleece, I'm from the Midlands myself and I wouldn't say he has the same accent.

Actually scratch that...given what he does for a living, and with that accent, I'd have made him look like Peter Stringfellow shudder

Ditto. Plus Scottish and English sound so different, there's a noticeable uh 'twang' I guess? in the english accent.
He's very English.
the north east isn't all the same accent, i'm from teeside/smoggy land and we don't speak geordie
so lets at least be exact so people don't assume everyone speaks the same
You have a way with people.
i reckon i get more down votes than you phyre
no joke !

He is in the Next On for episode 2, sorry. I loved his accent, but Im from Los Angeles and dont have any at all.

I think it's called a 'burr' in the accent IIRC

I stand corrected. Is it a Yorkshire accent then?
possibly cos my parents a yorkshire people. so i have a bit of mix of both lol
as i said somewhere else it's a mix of accents yorkshire and a bit of cockney maybe a bit of scouser lol
