What are your favourite The Walking Dead quotes?
I think mine is Chuck's quote, being:
"I don't know much about you folks, but you keep goin' on like this, and that girl ain't gonna make it. You've got to think of her as a living person. That's it. You ain't little. You ain't a girl, you ain't a boy. You ain't strong... or smart. You're alive."
I just really liked that quote, it showed that in the apocalypse it doesn't matter how young you are, how smart you are, how strong you are, or who you are. The world doesn't care any more. You're either dead, alive, or undead. It's a really well written quote and it really changed how I took care of Clementine, instead of trying to shelter her.

Jesus are you fucking kidding me ?
That's my second favourite. Winston is best character.
IT'S PEOPLE!
What the fuck the fucking what fuck !
You know what? Fuck you Larry. Eat up.
That evil fucker invited me to eat the meat, And all the time he knew what it was !!
"You're not a bad man Kenny. Fuck, you just are. A man is a man.
A man's gotta help the people that he can and let go of those he can not save. Now stop the train."
I wonder how many people know about this quote.
Chuck's is probably the best quote. Another good one is:
"You're gonna have to depend on the honesty of strangers if you're gonna make it. And if those same people get to questioning yours, you're gonna be in trouble." - Herschel Greene
Also...
Duck: "They said it's called a salt lick."
Clementine: "Yeah, but don't lick it, it's gross."
Lee: "Did you lick it?"
Clementine: (long pause) ".... I don't know?"
"I'm glad I have you."
Also, not one of my favorites, but when Lee says something along the lines of "see you at dinner" to Danny St. John and he responds with "it's gonna be a good one" in such a weird fucking way... that stuck with me. That was the moment I knew without a doubt that something FUCKED was going on.
Duck: it smells funny in here. Clementine: Like shit, right Lee?
Stranger: Hello, Lee...
Kenny: Motherfucker.
Walker falls from the ladder
Lee: Everything okay up there?
Kenny: I just about shit my pants, but yeah.
Ben spills the beans about the bandits
Lee: Kenny, I know you're upset, I understand, but you don't get to make a decision like that on your own. We're all in this together. We're a group!
Kenny: SURE!, TAKE A VOTE! THIS IS AMERICA, FUCK IT!
'''i've got charm coming out of my ass''
Kennys epic bro speech: You have always been there for me Lee. Always had my back when it mattered, what kind of a friend would i be if i wasn't there for you now? Biten or not, i am with you to the end. You can count on me!
Or Kennys epic bro speech when you decided to not show him the bite: You have always been there for me Lee. Always had my back when it mattered, what kind of a friend would i be if i wasn't there for you now? You and Clementine are the only family i got left. I am with you to the end. You can count on me!
I actually think the " not biten " version is better.
Jeez, there are so many, if we are including both the show and the Comic as well. Guess i'll throw in some:
And the last one is SPOILERS from the show so read at your own risk.
SPOILER SPOILER
There's a shitload of more quotes that i couldn't remember well and therefor went with ones that i could find. The whole walking dead series has so many good ones it's crazy and i love Kirkman for it.
"One time I had a hamster, and it figured out how to open the door on its cage. It got out, and ate almost half a box of cookies..."
"I'm not sure this is quite like that..."
"Yeah...this time...WE'RE the cookies!"
How do you get that quote?
Lee Everett: "oh you better not be saying what I think your saying"
In the train confrontation with kenny, initiate the fight.
Block Kenny's punches when he's about to punch. But don't press Q(or whatever button you are prompted to tap on the xbox 360/ps3) when lee's got kenny backed against the wall.
"The truck isn't full of milk, Charles." - Kenny
The best in my opinion was the whole talk with the stranger. No conversation in any game was soo...intense and emotionally charged like in this scene. The game did a lot with me on a emotional dimension. I tried to choose in season 1 like i would do, if there were me instead of Lee. I'm not an evil man. I think i tried many times to help. I helped lilly, was all the time friendly to larry, I was honest the whole game, I saved Bens live, helped Kenny and was nice to mostly every character. I had a great broship with kenny although I dint helped him in the meatlocker. But I have also done very bad things. Killed the St.John's infront of clementine without hesitation, let the girl scream an get eaten alive (episode2) to get more time so that i can collect food, I lied to clem,...and i also robbed the stuff out of the car. So...as i met him...I was very moved, hated myself and regret all of my choices. I realized that the whole shit that happend in episode 5 was actually my fault...and maybe kennys. It was a very hard moment to see the monster that i created in an accident. So my favourite line was
Stranger: "The sweatshirt she's wearing was my boy's! You stole that from us!"
Lee: "We were starving...it was cold..."
Stranger: "SO MY FAMILY STARVED IN THE COLD!!!"
P.S.: Sorry for the long text
My favorite quote is from Clementine: "He's my friend. We don't leave friends behind. That's my vote". Our little girl grew up fast!
That's fucking stupid Ben.
"Do I look like a monster to you?"
"We all do."
I've said this like million times but, Carver quote:
You have no Idea who these people are do you?
Let me ask you, how much did they trust you when you met them?
If people don't trust you.. How can you trust them?
I really liked Carver, Intelligent villain !
There's a lot of good quotes, but my favorite of the day would be what Sarita said in S2 EP2 about Kenny's snoring:
Sarita: "That's true. I'm still learning about Kenny".
Kenny: "Not the snoring again".
Sarita: "It's like sawing logs. REDWOODS".
"I know where the fucking river is!"
"Don't ask for whom the bell tolls...the bell tolls for thee."- Chuck
I got chills when he said that, definitely one of my favorites.
keep that hair short , clem -Lee
"Hmm, pointy"
"I know where the fuckin' river is."
I dont know what the fuck youre saying, but i know its bullshit.
"Still.Not.Bitten." - Clem
Episode 1, "I am still. NOT. Bitten." --Clementine
Episode 2, "Everyone underestimates me.", "I expect you've used that to your advantage.", "Sometimes.", "Smart girl." --Clementine & Walter
Episode 3, "I am pointing out that, regardless of intent, there are consequences for rash actions. Something that he seems to be misreading as capitulation." --Carlos
Episode 4, "I'd eat the shit out of that raccoon." --Mike
Duck: "Dad says it's called a salt lick."
Clem: "Yeah, but don't lick it. It's gross!"
Lee: "Did you lick it?"
Clem: childish pause ".... I don't know?"
My personal favorite quote from The Walking Dead is spoken by Lee Everett. It is so true and goes to show what kind of person Lee is. It has way more of a deeper meaning to me than it appears. Lee's decision of leaving Savannah without Clem's parents, not saving Duck or (I forget the other characters name.), Killing Lilly's father or idly standing by, and being bitten, although unintentionally, it still caused pain to Kenny and Clementime. Lee, you did not die in vain. Clementine still lives. Your legacy lives on. You will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace, Lee Everett.
"It's impossible to go through life without causing some kind of pain"
'Thread arise from the dead, I command thee"
Welcome To The Forums bud. Like for you for that.
thanks for reviving this thread, i enjoyed this discussion.
i personally like your quote too, lee was smart to say that.
"Maybe we could walk?"
"That's fucking stupid, Ben"
How do you get Kenny to say that? Do you know?
It's on a certain dialog choice when Clem is sitting with him at dinner. I forgot which one, though...
