"I was working... When it all happened. It was my first day. My mother was so proud of me passing my EMR licensing exam... "You are a hero my handsome boy."... Yeah, I'm some hero... My first patient was bitten.... They turned before we got to the hospital. The roads were blocked. People were everywhere. I barely escaped the ambulance. The other responders weren't so lucky.... I tried to help as many people as I could in the beginning. Some injured, some bitten. It took me a week before I could get home to my mother.... But, she was killed soon after, because I was too weak! I couldn't save my own mother... Bandits killed her for her insulin. Took me hostage for my "medical" skills.... Those bastards. They forced me to watch as my mother turned. To remind me that's what I'll be, if I don't cooperate. I was a hero to my mother and I failed... I failed to be who she believed me to be... I will get my revenge. One day, when the time is right... I'll kill them all."
