I just don't see Luke looking for a physical fight esp. in what shape he's in in e5. It seems more likely that, if they were forced by a railroading plot to battle it out somehow, it'd be out of self-defense -- or a brief attempt to break up Kenny and Jane, maybe. (I could imagine him getting hurt or killed trying to stop Kenny and Jane from escalating the situation.) From the headlock he got the walker in underwater, and they way he helped to disarm Carver before Kenny beat his face in, Luke has a few non-lethal approaches to dangerous situations under his belt. I don't see him flying into a blind rage or try to kill unless there was absolutely no choice.
vOv Luke had a ton of beef with Carver and had good reason to kill him but didn't, so, yeah. He's not very aggressive and despite differences of perspective between him and Kenny, Luke as the de facto leader of the group never boots Kenny out despite having some serious concerns about his stability. He also is not above thanking Kenny for taking first watch, I think it was, after they were sitting around the bonfire in the cold.
All right no, come on you know this isn't true. I dare say majority of players shot Kenny (a small majority, it was probably more even) and a lot more people liked Nick then you think. As for the Lee thing? I don't know it'd depend on the situation.
Kenny vs Jane? Its not even a competition, I bet 99% of all players chose Kenny over Jane.
Kenny vs Luke? More even ground this time, I'd… more say 40% would have picked Luke.
Kenny vs Lee? Do not mess with the awesomeness of Lee Everett!
Kenny vs Nick? Would anyone have seriously chosen Nick? I know I wouldn't ever.

But yeah, just my two cents.
