So Will Season 3 Have 4 Different Prologues?
I'm a firm believer in No Clem, No Buy as moving on the story without her is like making all of our difficult choices throughout the first two seasons all for nothing. Protagonists like Clementine are rare and I really want Telltale's adaptation of the comics to focus on Clem's character journey but with the endings to Season 2 I'm still perplexed over what Telltale had planned.
Surely they know how popular Clementine is in the gaming community and she is arguably their most famous original creation. However her character was somewhat mishandled in Season 2 (while all of Season 1's choices reflected Lee's core personality, Season 2 choices made Clem more of a neutral conduit for the player rather than be her own character). I still believe however that Telltale can mend this in Season 3, as Clementine to me is still a likable protagonist and we've already invested two seasons protecting her and watching her adapt to the zombie apocalypse, and this hasn't made me tired of her, instead now all I want is to continue focusing on her as a character and continuing her journey to see where it goes next.
But was Telltale planning on retiring Clementine when they finished Season 2 or were they actually planning on a much 'bigger' Season 3 to accommodate far more player choices than they did previously? Would they actually put in the work to craft 4 individual determinant introductions for S3 E1? There's the Alone Ending, the Kenny Ending, the Jane Ending and the Wellington Ending - all so vastly different, all ultimately leaving Clem's fate up to the players.
Was this Telltale's curtain call to Clementine or is it part of a master plan in porting Season 3 to Current-Gen (PS4, XBox One) consoles and actually creating something far more vast and actually adapting to the player's final choices in Season 2?

Clementine is the heart and soul of telltale. If they throw that game, you might get bad reviews.
I, personally, would not want to play the game more, reason Clementine symbolizes this series.
I actually think that their big plan is to let the player choose - whether to play or Jane Kenny.
What about the people who killed both Kenny and Jane? Unless Kenny get resurrected... again. :P
oh ... ops
I'm really hoping our endings do matter and make S3 believable. I would hate it if they kill Kenny/Jane 5 minutes into ep1, determinantly overrun Wellington/Howe's and start as Clem alone after a timeskip.
If she's in it. I say, yes definitely. I'm expecting the game to start with wherever you left off your clementine and after a 30 minute prologue I can see the game linking everything together so that everyone is back in the same path/area.
I think Game of Throne's finale will be a nice testing ground to see how The Walking Dead Season 3's prologue will work.
There is about 7 things to work out for season 3. Season 2 ends 7 ways.
1) Clem alone Jane dead. Kenny abandoned.
2) Clem alone Kenny dead. Jane abandoned.
3) Clem alone both Kenny and Jane dead.
4) Clem and Kenny at Wellington leaving together.
5) Clem and Kenny at Wellington, Clem stays at Wellington and leaves Kenny
6 Clem and Jane at Howes with the family.
7) Clem and Jane at Howes without the family.
Doesn't matter how popular Clementine is. Writers need to write the show themselves by doing what they think is best and not let fan interferance get in the way. I've seen shows get ruined like that, when writers just give in to fan demands.
Personally I don't really mind either way. I liked Clementine and she was a pretty good character, but then again playing as someone else could be even more interesting.
4 Different Prologues?
I pay to see this. I'm sure Telltale and all its glory can be capable of achieving a feat as this. Expanding it's creativity and stepping outside their comfort zone.
Like how they killed Omid and got rid of Christa?
I would absolutely love it if they did something like, had the first episode of season 3 be a prequel episode of whomever Clem went with/ended up with, and then starting from episode 2 we start back with Clementine and where they were present day. E.g. if you went with Jane, you'd play the first episode as Jane/Jaime and see how things had gone down between them before Jane ever met Clem. If you ended alone with AJ at the end of season 2, you could have a prequel episode showing how Rebecca and Alvin were getting ready for the baby (maybe even the cabin group would cameo and have a part), like with making a crib etc., and you could see in future episodes how AJ would take after how Rebecca/Alvin acted in the first episode. Maybe if you ended up at Wellington, your episode 1 would be playing from Edith's POV, and you see how Wellington was built from the ground up. Decisions you make in the first ep would have an effect on present day events that'd occur in episode 2. It might not be too hard to pull off, and it wouldn't be so entirely difficult to do.
Thats probably what will happen tho unfortunately
