Actually she did; 'Buckets', which I think means "I miss you so much it could fill buckets". I dunno, she's British now, and their English is different.
Although she had a definite American accent in MI4, the original 'voiced' Elaine in MI3 had an English estuary accent, with a slight hint of Black-Caribbean dialect...It was rather unusual!
Time for the Ol' Goldfish to weigh in with my thoughts.
this is a thread about the ENDING so EXPECT SPOILERS IN THE POST! (at least until some tell me how to blank out my text, cause .. well.. I don't know.)
Here are somethings that stuck out to me as I was playing/the ending.
1) In the ending I thought it was interesting that Guybrush commented on how good Elaine's Ship looked for one that had EXPLODED.
2) What happened to the Monkeys in the hold?
3) How come the Screaming Narwhal only takes 2 to operate?
4) Never mind who "she" is, how did the sword wielding loony get on the Ship IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA?
5) How did Elaine and LeChuck Catch Guybrush's ship and WHAT WILL BECOME OF HIS SIGNED SEXTANTS!

Now to wander off to the Speculation thread!
1) I wonder if that ship being CAPSIZED was supposed to be a clue....
2) I thought the same. Monkey heaven?
3) Yeah, well...I guess that 2 more people wouldnt make a big difference, but they managed pretty well on previous games.
4) She was aboard from before they launch, probably hidden. It was on the news that Guybrush had seized that ship.
5) Guybrush ship couldnt go too far away from Elaines, and they probably swim there, or were rescued by guybrush crew.
Don't forget that the particular type of flower LeChuck gives Elaine is mentionned by the voodoo lady as having the property of allowing you to talk to certain underwater creatures. There may be a plot element afoot involving that flower. I'm not going to try and say what, exactly, but it might be a good thing to keep in mind.
If you're not sure what I'm talking about, give the voodoo lady a flower.
Okay... I've read all your posts, brillian work!
Therefor, I have reached a conclusion!
*goes back and forth while wearing his Sherlock Holmes Hat*
Item #1:
Elaine is sad, clearly. She is not scared of LeChuck. She is not attracted to him. What is she doing?
…she is looking sadly at the sea.
Item #2:
LeChuck offers her a flower. It may be that type of flower that you say it is, Mr. Nimeni, but let’s not forget the obvious. It is a flower. Flowers are given to impress a lady, or to CONSOLE her. In both cases, they represent a gift of tenderness.
Item #3:
The simple fabric and design of LeChuck’s outfit changes, suggesting a “pleasant” mood of the one who wears it. It is quite clear that this is NOT the LeChuck we all know. Thus, a change in behaviour! No pox = no bad personality.
After carefully investigating the scene and the characters, I have reached my final conclusion.
*bubbles come out of his pipe*
Elaine is sad because she thinks Guybrush died. LeChuck feels bad for her loss, mostly feeling that he has something to do with it. He offers her a flower, not to impress, but in honesty of showing his regrets. Elaine did not fall in love with him, yet.
Guybrush doesn’t know all these things so, he has the wrong impression of his wife’s behaviour.
In the meantime, a mysterious female attacks Guybrush, saying that she has been waiting a long time for this.
Item #1:
“I have been waiting a long time for this” clearly suggests an old character returning.
Item #2:
In Voodoo Lady’s trance, we can clearly hear her speak in another’s voice, a female voice, stating that “the skull was right”. What does this imply, gentlemen?
Item #3:
Voodoo Lady’s trance occurs after you show her the Morgan Le Flay flier.
The conclusion:
Morgan LeFlay is a pseudonim for a returning character that got hold of Murray! She teamed up with the skull, thus finding out somehow about Guybrush’s location. The EXACT location. Voodoo implied.
By the way, am I the only one thinking that the mysterious attacker's voice sounds very young? As in... it's a young lady rather than a woman in her 30's.
In Voodoo Lady’s trance, we can clearly hear her speak in another’s voice, a female voice, stating that “the skull was right”. What does this imply, gentlemen?

Elementary, my dear forum members.
Hm, the voice the Voodoo lady speaks in when shown the flyer is definitely not the voice of the mystery swordwoman.
LeChuck offers her a flower. It may be that type of flower that you say it is, Mr. *inserted*Miss*inserted* Nimeni, but let’s not forget the obvious. It is a flower. Flowers are given to impress a lady, or to CONSOLE her. In both cases, they represent a gift of tenderness.
Minor correction. And this seems possible, but I'm not sure I believe it. But more on that, later.
Elaine is sad because she thinks Guybrush died.
Seems very likely.
LeChuck feels bad for her loss, mostly feeling that he has something to do with it. He offers her a flower, not to impress, but in honesty of showing his regrets.
While this is plausible, its also straightforward and guessable. And no good writer likes to write the most straightforward and guessable scenario. Good writing, in reference to plot twists, should generally go against Occam's razor. (Can't say always, though, there will always be an exception. ) I tend to go with the idea that the flower has some other significance simply because that would be the harder meaning to catch, its set up by the voodoo lady, and it would be a more interesting twist. Although I'm definitely still open to this being a viable solution.
Although I do have to agree with you that we can't forget that it is a flower, because there could easily be some double meanings, here.
5 bucks on my theory that LeChuck has gone good and Guybrush has to transform LeChuck back to his evil form. Maybe the Pox of LeChuck is the soul of LeChuck spreading?
That's actually quite a good idea... Like, i can imagine quite a lot of comedy from out of that idea. and stuff...
but he must have been evil as a human 4 elaine to turn him down before the edvents of secret
This is not necessarily *that* LeChuck, for one. And another, it seems a bit weird that you assume that Elaine would only turn down a guy if he was pure evil. =p
In Voodoo Lady’s trance, we can clearly hear her speak in another’s voice, a female voice, stating that “the skull was right”. What does this imply, gentlemen?
That the forces of darkness WILL applaud him as he strides through the gates of hell, carrying Guybrush's head upon a pike?
Romance Situation Alert: Elaine's ship was blown up, catapulting Guybrush (and presumably Elaine and LeChuck) away on bits of wreckage. Which means that somehow, Elaine and LeChuck found each other and managed to locate and get to Guybrush's ship together. That's what you call bonding, kids.
Elaine is looking sad and lonely, clearly thinking Guybrush has died (and she isn't going to be enlightened anytime soon because of the Mystery Woman).
LeChuck is now not-dead and quite, er, presentable (note Elaine's amazed cry of "Woof!" on first seeing him).
To this old lady, all this smells like a Relationship about to happen. And LeChuck doesn't have to have undergone a change of heart; just act nice...
I would be fine if Lechuck is just ACTING nice to Elaine, but not actually have changed, I just hope that in the next episode we will get a few hints on whether Lechuck has actually changed, not direct give aways, but subtle things that could make you think about how he really is.
Well, remember that, evil as he has always been, LeChuck genuinely loves Elaine-- in a sick and twisted way, but he really does. He may still be the same black-hearted bastard he's always been, in disguise, but with or without that disguise his heart still belongs to Elaine.
Can this be Ron Gilbert's contribution to the plot? Intriguingly messed-up romance? I'm doing a little dance of thanks around my personal voodoo shrine...

sorry i didnt mean acting nice to Elaine as in being in love with her, i meant acting as if he is a changed person and is no longer evil so Elaine will love him back.
Pfft. Curing LeChuck of zombie-ism wouldn't cure him of being a jerk. Elaine knew him before he died, and she turned him down then, too. Elaine also turned down every single eligible male pirate on Melee. (For all we know, she may have also had to fend off the non-eligible ones and some of the women!)
She politely rebuffed every single advance. Until she met Guybrush. And then she advanced on HIM with the force of a tidal wave. She went from first meeting to flirtation in what, fifteen seconds? And declarations of love with pet names and an invitation back to her place half an hour after that?
Guybrush has NOTHING to worry about.
Elaine's a tough lady who knows her own mind and has shown herself to be highly resistant to the charms and wiles of pirates who don't fit her very selective tastes (apparently: earnest, gawky, and having a "fascinating name"). She wouldn't fall for LeChuck, certainly not so quickly. My guess, she's stringing LeChuck along until she finds out what happened to Guybrush. She's fooled him before.
Elaine is the reason LeChuck was dead to begin with... she told him to drop dead... So he did.
But this LeChuck is not going to be the usual mean evil LeChuck we all know and love he is going to be nicer because his evilness is floating around in the sky somewhere deep in the Caribbean. Its like evil fallout....
Her name is Ricki Rapp. She's the voice of the mysterious attacker. Any clues?
If you were Telltale, in what role would you cast her?
If you go to her site, you can listen to her Voice Demo. It really is her! I mean...the character... I mean...who IS that woman?

This was my thought EXACTLY!
the rest of them were mainly rheotical, to be honest.
