Low quality textures on Android Season 2.

I apologise for posting here but the support section is now closed and trying to use the new support centre just throws out a error when I try and submit a request.

I've finished season 1 on my Nexus 7 tablet. Played well, looked great, and have now imported my save into season 2.

The textures of the game however are extremely low resolution. It honestly looks as if someone has smeared grease on my glasses.

Is there anyway to improve them, a setting to tweak or a file to replace/remove? Am I doomed to play the game is such low quality?

A Google search for the issue just brings up hits for the PC version of the game.
