Kirkman is unplugged

Just watched a recent panel with Kirkman. He stated some facts that I have heard him say before such as being in on some of the process of Telltales Walking Dead season 1, and then being in on a very small amount of S2. But a question was asked about the Telltale game and he said yeah I think the took TWD product and made a great story, but from them I didn't want any of the comic characters with a central story line focused on them. He also said that he didnt want those worlds explored and was happy with the Clementine story. Now the problem with what he said is something we all know. The Michonne mine series. Did he forget about that or what? He didnt mention it at all, and totally went against what he said.

Personally I didnt want the Michonne series, I wanted S3, since they announced it in July 2014.

This is just something in between seasons, like 400 Days was to season two. The team is still working on season three, and Michonne has no bearing on the development time of Season Three at all. It takes a while to make an entire season. Plus, the longer the break, the better fleshed out the season will be. Season one and two of Sam & Max were really similar since they were only released a year apart, but season three was really different, because it took longer to make, and was better because of it. It's likely The Walking Dead season three's two year development time will yield a similar difference compared to previous seasons.

Sam & Max: Season Three also took two years between the end of season two ended and season three season started, and Sam & Max fans didn't get anything in between the break. At least The Walking Dead fans are getting something to tide them over.
