Walkers' hands

It really bothers me that walkers can tear human flesh like paper. They are dead. So they are supposed to be weaker than the alive yet their hands drill through human flesh. In both the game and the TV series (haven't read the comics) there are deaths in which walkers easily put their hands through your gut (Brie's death) or tear your flesh with bear hands (Glenn's recent death). I mean...come on skin is not that fragile.
What do you think?

Simple explanation: zombie fiction. Ever since zombies have been around, they've been ripping people apart no trouble. Just look at the Romero films where they can tear people apart like they're Halloween props.

A more in-universe explanation: Since zombies don't feel pain, they aren't limited by the stress limits we have. Ergo, they can exert a crazy amount of force. If a zombie was inclined enough, it could tear at something until its own arms break from the force. Of course, you can argue that the amount of force they could exert is limited since they're technically rotting, which is why the simpler explanation works better, because none of this even makes sense at any possible scientific level so why are we even trying to figure this out in the first place

  • They shouldnt even be able to move because the blood isnt transfering oxygen to muscles.

Just accept that there is no logic in za and its all good.
