  • Flashback isnt advancing story, its just filling the gaps. Advancing the story would mean moving on with it, while that flashback did nothing like that.

By how I literally just said.

  • I don't mean advancing the story in a literal sense, of course it's not going further into the timeline, but we're learning more about the story and it's characters, that's what I mean by "advancing the story".

  • Boring and slow episode, which is disappointing because so far this season has been action packed. Loads of pointless scenes. Can't wait for next week for something to actually happen. Good on Rick for gettin' some, though.

Kind of feel like they're dragging out the whole 'is Glenn dead?' thing. Whether he's dead or not, I just want to bloody know.

  • 8/10

Pretty sure episode 6 will be like this one but a little more exciting with Abe and Sasha trying to survive and Daryl being kidnapped or whatever. I think ep7-8 is going to be no way out and the mid season finale's gonna be Paul Monroe and his binoculars :D

  • You should be more clear then, so we can avoid pointless discussions like this.

Is there really no one in Alexandria who can give Carl and Daryl a haircut? Biggest takeaway I got from this episode was that Jessie is actually shit at cutting hair. I wouldn't want to come out of my room if I had Sam's bowlcut, either. Even the apocalypse cant get rid of the Bieber look lmao. I swear this kid is playing the "innocent & oblivious" card. He stays in his room all day, his father was abusive and has the bowl cut that screams "I'm gunning this place down". I have a feeling he's plotting some sadistic shit. Once he gets his hands on an AR-15 it's game over for everyone in Alexandria.

Maggie destroyed me tbh , bringing up the picture and everything got me tearing up.

I really liked this episode. I think it was a good set up to the devastation of No Way Out. I thought it had great character moments, particularly in moving people in directions we might not anticipate. Who would have guessed that Ron would ask Rick to teach him to shoot? And was that genuine? I liked how Aaron and Jessie stepped up to help their fellow Alexandrians begin to see the light and at least not give up. Aaron sensed that the rest of the community blamed Rick entirely for their current situation, and he knew that blame was unjust. He confessed his own culpability while noting that as bad as their predicament currently was, it could have been much worse if not for Rick’s plan.

Where was Carol? Michonne? Both should've had air time to apprise Ruck of what went down with the Wolves and in town. Why don't the characters walk among the herd covered in Walker guts like Rick and Glenn did the 1st season? That would be the only way to safely do a search and rescue for Glenn. Enough of the unknown Alexandrians. The core characters need more time together or at least on the air.

Not showing us Rick’s escape, it cheapens the cliffhanger ending from two episodes ago in retrospect it was no cliffhanger at all. But I just can’t understand why the writers would do that if you go back and watch that ending, with Rick sitting in the RV with a bleeding hand (what happened to THAT?) and pounding on the dash in utter frustration and despair, it’s pretty moving. For the next scene to be Rick dashing into Alexandria and taking command, just squanders all of the emotion created by those prior scenes.

The love triangle is set. Enid-Carl-Ron. Ron says he’s the boyfriend. Carl is more pining for her. But Carl wants to go out and find her. Ron stops him and then gets into a brief shoving match. Carl wins that. Later, he tells Rick what he did (minus the tussling part), then wants to learn how to shoot a gun. Maybe Ron is finally growing up. Enid? She’s out there somewhere but likely still alive. I don't trust Ron. He's up to something. I bet Carl or Rick is going to become his target practice at some point. Something bad's gonna happen to Carl. We never saw Rick confront him tonight. Also, I wonder if Enid is back on that turtle diet...

Oh, there's an escape tunnel? That no one knows about or has ever used? Well, that's convenient. Anyways... I had a glimmering hope that they would go up through some sewer cap, and it would be right under that dumpster, where they would pull Glenn down to safety. A man can dream, right?

On the subject of Glenn.. I really think it would be a mistake for the writers to not answer fans' questions really soon. Don't get me wrong, I love me some cliffhangers. But not addressing that would remind me of Lost, i.e. would impact the show's integrity big time. I'm not saying it'll be disappointing if they don't answer by the mid season break; worse, I'm saying they will lose viewers.

The big topic of discussion in my house was the condition of the walkers Maggie and Aaron encountered in the sewer. Props on those sewer walkers, they were absolutely disgusting.
At what point does the physical body of a zombie deteriorate so much that it literally falls to pieces? Once the skull becomes more or less completely exposed, wouldn't the brain just "leak" out? Or would it keep its structural integrity? It's a little farfetched to believe that there would be enough brain material left to maintain the animation in a body so far gone that Maggie was literally able to stick her hand through its chest and out the back of it

And how would the periodontal ligament keep the teeth attached once the gums were gone? I know that mummies are found with teeth "in place" but mummies aren't running around opening their jaws and snapping at stuff.

Man your review is on point. you pointed out a lot of the stuff i wanted to point out too but was too lazy and or forgot to write.

man you killed me with this one lol!

Where was Carol? Michonne? Both should've had air time to apprise Ruck of what went down with the Wolves and in town. Why don't the characters walk among the herd covered in Walker guts like Rick and Glenn did the 1st season?

yeah man i hear you, was kinda weird they just showed them in that lil opening.

I don't trust Ron. He's up to something. I bet Carl or Rick is going to become his target practice at some point. Something bad's gonna happen to Carl.

do you read the comics?? cuz theyre some theoried going around... lets just say, could be something big.

also i like you pointed out the sewer, i forgot about that. just another convenience...

honestly it think it would lose integrity if they keep Glenn alive. not to the high percentage of viewers, but mostly ppl like me that dont like bullshit.

yea thats why hated that sewer scene. it was typical zombie drama bullshit. its basically a freaking skeleton but maggie cant keep off her?? and Aaron struggles?? what??...

    but i overall liked it.
