Im kind of happy they didn't get Danai Gurira to do the voice for Michonne
I think it would have been a mistake to connect this to the AMC show by casting the actress who plays her in the series.
I think Danai Gurira does an ok job playing Michonne on the show but she never came close to being as awesome or as complex as Michonne was in the comics.
Im really surprised that they manged to get Samira Wiley to voice Michonne. Im a huge fan of her work on Orange is the new black and a can't wait to see her take on the character

Yeah. Plus it would have ruined the continuity, since Glenn and Hershel had different voice actors from the show too.
Michonne from the TV show is a different character from Michonne from the comics. So it wouldn't make a lick of sense to do it in the first place.
The funny thing is I was just watching Orange is The New Black on Netflix the other day and caught a glimpse of her. Didn't get a good grip of her voice but she sounded ok I'm sure she'll do fine
The actress is good on the show but she might not be expressive enough for VA anyway.
Tv Michonne > Comic Michonne IMO

Well it's nice because Danai's Michonne and Comic Michonne are different characters so different voice is great
