She left the group without telling anyone and that would have included Clementine if she hadn't seen her leaving. Yeah she came back in the next episode and part of her cared about Clementine, we can see that, however i look it as partial guilt on her part coming back and she probably saw Clem as a replacement for her sister.
She insisted to Clem to leave Sarah behind in the trailer because she felt she couldn't be saved which was pretty much the same situation as leaving her sister. I didn't appreciate her wanting Clem to do that.
If Sarah was saved, then later on after the deck collapses, Jane reluctantly goes down to save her but before the choice is given to do so, she again says she wants Clem to leave her or words to that effect. There is even a dialogue choice for Clem to get angry with her saying "you didn't even want to try and save her".
When Luke is trapped under the ice, still alive and trying to get out, Jane can be heard saying "there's nothing you can do, you can't save him" or something along those lines even though she could see he was still alive and it just seemed like she didn't care about him at all.
During one or two non canon deaths, after Clem dies, it shows Jane running off, not even trying to save her. I know it's a non canon death but to me it showed what she was like.
During a conversation with Rebecca in episode 4, she asks Rebecca "what are you going to do with it" (about the baby when it's born), basically implying that she should get rid of it. It comes across as selfish and heartless to me and she never cared about AJ at all because she felt he would be a danger to herself as babies are noisy and whilst i see where she's coming from, i don't think it's right to want to "get rid" of a baby for that reason, plus she put his life in danger near the end of the game which I didn't like.
Point is, in my opinion the way i see it, if Jane has left people behind before or acts like/insists on leaving them, what's to say she wouldn't do it to Clem and AJ
in the future? This is a woman we've only known a few days. One thing my Clementine learned from my Lee was to not trust anyone and i hope i can stick by that in season 3.
She didn't leave her sister the second things got tough, she tried and took with with her loads and loads, until one day it was impossible. I don't get where people get the idea she'll leave you the second it gets rough
I ended the game with Jane, obviously. I wasn't sure about letting the family in, but I took the risk. If everything goes right, we can build some normal relations, now when the weakest link (Kenny) is not there.
He was fucked up from the beginning. Lee also never could count on him. He didn't help him with the zombies one or two times, he fought with Lilly all the time, getting her on the edge and thus being accomplice to Carly's death, he was always unstable and unreliable and forced his own plans, thinking only about himself. He had good moments, but they always ended sooner or later and he again became an unreliable bastard. He would get Clem killed sooner or later.
At the end of the game it was Kenny who tried to kill Jane, not the other way. She was going back all the time and only trying to stop him. And he still wanted her dead, even though he did not know what happened to the child, it could have been anything. He was as insane as Lilly.
And Jane is a good warrior who can protect her and a good big sister, even though a loner. I didn't have any doubts who to team up with.
On my first playthrough I shot Kenny and saved Jane, then forgave her. I can't say I think her plan was bad! So I ended up with her, A.J. and Randy, Patricia and Gill at Howe's, but didn't like the ending at all, because it felt, I don't know, out of place. Maybe it's because they reused all the models for the family.
Checking out the other endings, I decided that I liked the Wellington ending the best; not because of Kenny and not because it felt emotional (it did and a lot), but because I felt like it would be the safest for the two children. Remember what Luke said about the Hardware Store surroundings,
Trust me here guys, I looked! There's no food; there's no supplies, they picked everything clean! I mean, we gotta be sensible about this.
I guess I'm gonna be playing both as my original playthroughs whenever Season 3 comes out.
Kenny & AJ. He may be a bit unstable, but his hearts in the right place, and he's the closest thing to family Clem has left. He was also great friends with my Lee; who actually said in Season 1, he wanted Kenny to look after Clementine. Plus, I never warmed to Jane, like, at all -- so there's that, as well. I still remember to this day, how I felt when the option [SHOOT KENNY] came up, I was like:
Along with AJ, I didn't like Kenny's character at in series 1 and hated him even more in series 2 and Jane yeah no I hate her character as well so I got the alone ending.

I can't wait to see how Telltale is going to pull off season 3 with all the endings.

On the road with AJ.
Alone with AJ. Best ending as far as I am concerned.
On the road with Kenny and AJ. After he told Clem he's trying to change, and after his Wellington speech, there was no way I was leaving him behind.

Kenny, I will follow him to the end of the world if I have to,
