I was screwing around in AGS and made a very (very) [VERY] basic demo. The "game" is not very sophisticated (or long) but it displays the kind of humor and tone I'd like to utilize. I'm still trying to learn to do stuff. I just (and I do mean "just") started.

I really enjoy writing. I'd have fun working on some kind of game project. I have random ideas for what would be interesting.

Right now I'm just throwing crap on the wall but if anyone is still interested in working on actually doing something, that'd be fun. (If you're all already doing something - don't really know, you can ignore this. I'm not particularly married to this idea.)

I have a friend working on a RPG demo (a first chapter) that is similiar to something like the following idea.

    Carsten

Carsten is a loyal citizen of England in the mid-1600s. He's falsely accused of stealing a loaf of bread so he's chained and hung to a dungeon wall for five years.

Eventually the prison relocation program to ship inmates to Australia begins. However the ship wrecks on the way there and Carsten - the lone survivor of the shipwrecked Crusty Pickle - washes ashore onto a mysterious island.

For days he wanders alone in the lush jungles of the island. The unnaturally dark, purple sky provides little light for Carsten to navigate. He survives on cockroaches and spotted mushrooms. Eventually he realizes he’s been walking around in circles for days and stumbles out into a valley.

He finds a primitive city full of supernatural beings – people who look like cats, dogs and frogs. They all find him particularly ugly and incredibly naïve. Eventually they arrest him for consuming endangered flora and sentence him to death. Carsten begs for mercy and offers to do anything the villagers want in exchange for his life.

So they send him on a quest to free them from the persecution of Charlemagne, the self proclaimed ruler of the island.

    Charlemagne

Charlemagne rose to power by betraying his friends. The manifest dark powers of the island empowered him to persecute and place under his dominion the civilians of the island. Charlemagne often finds himself bored and amuses himself mostly by mentally torturing others - the sickly dark purple aura he has placed around the island vigilantly keeps everyone on edge, a constant state of paranoia. A paranoia paradise, if you will.

    Yadayadayada...

Again - demo I made with the humor I like to use.

EDIT: I need to actually re-read threads I've already read before posting in them. Seems like this wasn't exactly lost to the mists of time as I thought. My bad.
