Who Will Clementine Grow Up to Be?

To.... this?

Will she be a lone wolf like Michonne - or a group leader like Carol? Will she try to hold on to her humanity like Rick or embrace the dark side like the Governor?

(It should go without saying, I'm hoping she'll be the protagonist of Season 3)

As much as I like the idea of an Alone-Clementine, given just how incompetent her last group was, I think Clem is still destined to be a leader, as the late great Carver not to subtly seemed to foreshadow. Clementine growing into a leader in the zombie apocalypse, leading her own group of survivors, like a new family, and making the difficult moral choices a leader must make.

Then again... other people are such a burden when Clementine seems unusually gifted at surviving the apocalypse (she's a child prodigy at survival), so I do kind of like the idea of Clementine being shaped from her disastrous experience with the Cabin Group and resolving to only look out for her own wellbeing, Michonne style (before Michonne joined Rick).

  • Dayum, that is some nice fanart...

  • I guess we'll just have to wait and see. enter image description here

Also, it will depend on the choices we make in the future installments.

You do realize that no one knows, right?

  • Its beautiful, but artists always imo make her look too light skinned.

  • I don't care for what she looks like.
I don't care if she's alone or with a group.
I only care for what i believed in season one: to take Lee's life advice and to live her life from the lessons she was taught and given to from Lee.

  • I think she'll be new Oprah, very influential person. People will meet with her, confess, cry and she'll tell them what to do, show the right way. Then they'll receive Clem's favourite things; hats, guns, boats.

  • Off topic but I miss Omid. He brought joy to the series with his humor.

  • I wouldn't say Carol is a group leader, she's more of a lone wolf like Daryl.

  • Hard to say really. So much could change between now and then. Knowing how TWD changes people, probably a lot tougher and meaner though. It's a pretty big assumption that she even lives to be a grown ass woman though.

I think it'll be for the player to decide, you know, CHOICES

  • Same here, I miss Omid so bad, such a great character with so much potential killed off for cheap drama. :(

  • I couldn't agree more with you. That was one real shitty thing killing him off that way at the start of season 2. He cracked me up with his jokes and you need characters like that to get attached to. He was great

  • If she chose Kenny than she'll be a raving mad woman.

If she chose Jane than she'll be a logical survivor.

  • lol.

  • I don't think Kenny or Jane would change her much. She'll never forget Lee and the lessons he taught her. I think above all she'll stay true to Lee's advice by valuing love, diplomacy and family over everything else, just like Lee.

  • Lol no! She would keep Lee close to her heart and won't change

  • "Well at least it's not a death trap" - creaky sound then Christa looks annoyed at him and his face is priceless!

Also the Dixon Kent III scene haha

Depends on you. But i want her grow up like Molly. Alone and badass.

  • How could you want Clem to be alone? :'(

  • To be alone is better than group

How could you want Clem to be alone?

A group that has little trust is bound to fail. Carver at Howe's Place had him and his group surviving fairly comfortably all things considered, it was the same with the Cabin group and Kenny's group as well. It was only when people stopped trusting that things went to shit.

To be alone is better than group

  • Well Molly was still pretty cool around people. That is if she's treated nice, as it would with anyone.

How could you want Clem to be alone?

  • Not everyone would be as cooperative as Molly, the existence of places like Crawford proves this. In a dog-eat-dog world you can't expect everyone to be cool around despite how nice you are to them. Joining a group gives you stability and can help with your mental health, just look at what living alone did to Jane and ask yourself if you would be happy with Clementine ending up like that. I mean sure, Jane's not evil but she's a far cry from the path Lee wanted Clem to follow.

  • Kenny and Jane still being brought up on a Clementine thread? No surprise. Anyways, I believe CLEMENTINE will become whatever we want her to be. I guess in a way, part of me believes she'll be determinate (character wise).

  • ENOUGH OF THIS KENNY AND JANE TALK! I don't care for either of those characters, this thread is about CLEMENTINE, not Kenny or Jane. We are not here to discuss why Kenny is a better choice than Jane or vice versa, this thread is to discuss speculation over Clementine's future, WITHOUT Kenny or Jane.

  • It was the best adult Clementine fanart I could find.

  • He makes the apocalypse look fun to go through. They always kill off the funny ones....

  • I guess she can be a lone wolf If she start letting herself be influenced by Jane

  • Whatever we make her in S3

  • depend on the choices we make
