Even though monkey island is about Guybrush and such, for me Murray could easly always have a bigger part almost like Sam has max, there is just something fun and special about murray.
we need more wacky characters like him in some other sort of wacky evil way hehe.
Good news! I hope they do him justice in TMI. It's almost like he never was in EMI, cause he had no role at all in the game or story except to sit on a stool.
What I liked about Murray in CMI was how he kept popping up in odd places. First he's floating on a plank in the ocean. Then he's stuck on a spike in the swamp outside the Voodoo Lady's place. Then he's in a crypt on Blood Island. Then a shelf in LeChuck's carnival. Makes you wonder how the world he got around, and that was part of what made him so amusing.
A TMI episode may not have enough locations for Murray to keep popping up at, so another way that I think he'd be fun is as an inventory item. They could have you pick up Murray somewhere in the beginning of the episode, and then as you're carrying around he occasionally gives his (very evil) opinion about whatever it is you're doing. Then at the end you use him in some way to solve a puzzle.
Whatever they do, I hope they don't just stick him in an episode for the sake of having him there like they did in EMI. I hope he's more involved in the story this time.
I have enough respect for Telltale that I feel that I can say that they wouldn't bring him back for a pointless cheap cameo like in Escape.

Although I admit even if it is a cameo I'll still jump for joy on hearing his demonic chattering! lol. - thats a point - will it be Murray as we know him? or a different voice actor?
