    Since when has the TV show remotely cared about staying true to the comics? Secondly it would be boring as heck if they did, as why would we want them to be the same? Then everyone would know what was going to happen.

    Yes, since Scott Gimple took over it has been following the comics more than ever. Straight scenes and dialogue taking directly from the books. They have been doing a good job, imo, of incorporating comics and new material.
