Is Tv Rick destined to die?
I recently heard TWD Robert Kirkman that comic book Rick will not survive the comic series.
Even though I've never read the comics, when I heard that about comic book Rick, I couldn't help but wonder what that could mean for TV Rick? Personally I hope that Rick, and Daryl survive to the end of the TV series, in my personal opinion they make the show! I like all the characters pretty much, but Rick and Daryl happen to be my favorites. Anyway if comic book Rick is destined to die in the comic book series, then does that mean that TV Rick will also experienced a similar fate? what do you think will happen to Rick on the TV series?

I don't know if the writers have the guts to kill him. I've never really liked him or found him to be that much of an interesting character if i'm honest. He was bland but somewhat likeable in early seasons, now is very bland and very unlikeable. As for Daryl - he should have died seasons ago. The badass thing worked in the early seasons, but they failed to develop his character and if it weren't for Michonne, he would be the most starved of personality character in the show.
I hope that Rick is killed off soon and new players start entering the show, because it is just so boring to watch at the moment. Rick and most of his yes men/women crew just don't cut if for me anymore. They are put to shame by the superior video game characters (Lee, Kenny, Jane, etc)
I disagree totally
Bland? Rick bland? Have you even watched the series recently? The dude's like most badass character on the show right now, you don't know what the hell he is gonna do next and that's the interesting thing about him. His character deveploment has been one of the best in TV shows history, I know opinions and all, but I really don't know how someone can see Rick as a bland character.
I think the comics will and could carry on without Rick. I don't think it's unlikely to think that Carl will take over the reigns or another character, Andrea perhaps. I think the comics will end way after Rick's death.
However, as for the TV show, I think that will end with Rick's death, I can't see them pushing the focus over to another character. As for Daryl, he's gotten pretty boring these past few seasons, BUT the last episode was a step in the right direction, there was more of the old Daryl in there, I don't think he'll make it to the end though...
Haven't watched the last ep yet. Tuned out halfway through the ep before that after Rick got that family killed and his sons eye got shot out.He isn't even close to being the most badass character in the show. Daryl and Michonne are both comfortably more badass than him, only problem is that both have the personality of a zombie. I know exactly what he's gonna do next... lead the group to safety (if he hasn't done so already), they'll eventually introduce some villain, probably a lot more interesting and charismatic than Rick (shouldn't be too hard to do. Hell they already done it with The Governor), Rick would end up killing the guy, with most of his crew members still intact.
Might start enjoying the show again if writers start killing main characters.
If that's true then he's stepping away from his original idea. The very first comic book has him talking about how this story is about watching how Rick is transformed, and how dark people can really go. If Rick dies it means his premise has changed, unless it's when the comic is concluding.
I do believe the writers are scared of killing off main characters now so it will be a while, probably by the end of the whole series, until Rick dies. I mean look at Glenn, he should be dead yet they spent half of Season 6 making out he was gone only to bring him back again. Ever since Beth and Tyreese died there hasn't been a main cast death for a whole season.
As for Daryl, the writers keep doing the same with his character and it's getting pretty boring now. They pair him up with someone, for example Beth, develop a connection and a relationship and then kill that person off in order to develop him. It won't surprise me if Denise or Tara end up dying now that Daryl and Denise have a little friendship going on.
best in tv history, lmao ok.
I said one of the best and why is it not in your opinion?
From pussy to badass, like Walter White another AMC show character.
And give me some examples of Tv characters developed better. And tell my why they are developed better than Rick. Don't just say "lmao okay", that's fucking stupid and childish, you have to give some valid points to back up your opinion.
1.Rick didn't get the Andersons killed, it was Sam's panic attack, walkers and Michonne who killed them.
2.Daryl and Michonne who you just said have a walker's personality are more badass and interesting in your opinion, but then Rick who has personality and actually does more psycho and badass shit than two of them, is bland? Makes sense, but whatever, I guess when Daryl shoots a walker with crossbow in head is badass as fuck in everyone's opinion but when Rick rips a person's jugular out with his teeth, hacks a guy to pieces with a machete or shoots 3 people through a wall with an Ak, he's just bland and boring.
Well to the OP, Daryl is probably gonna kick the bucket soon.
Where did you hear Rick Grimes is going to die in comic series? Can you please provide a link? O_o
I haven't watched the show, but I highly doubt Rick is comparable to Walt.
OMG no. Anyone but Carl. He is the most boring character in both comic and TV show, and yes I am up to date with comic.
Why wouldn't he be comparable to Walt? I just mentioned one reason in my comment above why they're comparable and then you come tell me "you highly doubt it even tho you haven't even watched the show".
People underestimate Rick just because the show may have been boring and not so great sometimes, so obiviously a "shitty" show can't have good character development, but that's not right.
I was agreeing with you until you said the show was shitty. Ah well, I agree with you about Rick anyway.
i hate how weak Rick is getting in recent issues. it could be a sign. idk.
I've only ever heard Kirkman say that TWD is Rick Grimes' story. I have to question your source on this.
Rick won't die, hes the main character, he won't die until they need to end the show. But Daryl is going to die, or smaller chance Glenn, by Negan
I put quote marks there, it isn't shitty imo, but generally pretty many people seem to think it is.
You know what? I sort of agree, he's certainly not protagonist material. I'm just thinking what Kirkman is likely to do, he has said that Rick won't survive the approx. 300 issues. I think Carl is naturally meant to take over the reigns, but I'm hoping that's as a leader of Alexandria, not as protag of TWD
Are thosr prople watching every week? Lol
Right now, I think Rick is safe in the TV series for at the very least 2 more seasons. As for the comic books, I feel like they're certainly building up to something horrible happening to Rick. Negan helping him, the attack in Issue 150, Carl's rise to a larger role, and Dwight taking Negan's bat, it's all very suspicious.
No idea. The show might just end with Rick being surrounded by all the gory remains of his group members , watching in horror as Zombie Carl rises up.
This idea makes me sad, but I want it to happen now. How dare you toy with my emotions?
You're a god damn monster.
No one lives forever I guess, although I'm actually quite shocked if this is true, could you please provide a source for your information?
