I kind of want a Rick Grimes miniseries
I've always wanted to be able to play as Rick ever since the concept of a Walking Dead video game was out there. Don't get me wrong, it's cool to play Michonne and everything and even Lee and Clem for that matter, but I've always thought The Walking Dead is a perfect concept for a video game. Rick would be such an awesome playable character and it might be neat to adapt the comics into a video game but give you the choice to affect several major plot points that occurred and actually change character's fates. I don't know maybe I'm crazy for thinking this but it would be great to take that leadership role with all the familiar characters.

That's so true. I would love it as well if Kirkman agreed. Telltale could once again fill in some gaps in the comics. Wasn't there a long time skip in the Alexandria storyline? This seems like a good spot.
Totally. There's potential there as well. I just wonder if Telltale could get the consent from Kirkman to do it. I think it would be much more successful than Michonne. Imagine if they stuck with the three episode miniseries idea. It could almost be a what-if scenario where episode one could be the Prison (leading up to to) and the battle with the Governor and your choices can affect who lives and who dies during that fight and then it could also address the immediate aftermath. Then episode two could be the lead up and coverage of All Out War with Negan. And then episode three could possibly be about Alpha and the who new world order type deal. Just a thought.
Something set in the two year time gap in the comics would be interesting. As Telltale excels at character driven drama, seeing the communities grow and thrive while still handling the outside world would be fascinating while playing as Rick. I agree, very cool to think about. And it could maintain its place in canon, which I kind of like too, as opposed to playing 'what if' scenarios.
Fair enough. I just always thought it would be fun to play the prison and Negan scenarios.
Rick is already fully developed in the comic, there's nothing Telltale could do with him that could significantly expand his story. If Telltale ever planned to do another miniseries, they should focus on either Jesus, boring and one dimensional character to whom they could add some depth at last, or Dwight, a morally ambiguous character who struggles with his love for his wife and his responsibilities.
