Would you wish TWD Game had an episode intro with AMC style?
I'm bored so I had to make a thread see people talking about this. Would you wish TTG had made an episode intro in AMC style for this game series? I always enjoy listening to the TV intro theme, it's just very enjoyable. I found these two videos on youtube. Any thoughts about this?

I for one have always wished for that with the game series had a introduction that was just as good or better than the TV show but I'd doubt they could top the TV show if they did try. Several of their other games had intros like the wolf among us yet not the walking dead. But they did sometimes have great end credit themes to compensate I guess.
The person that created that video content has talent and was interesting to see. Telltale should hire that individual if they did begin intros for walking dead....I loved the episode credits themes for season one. Season 2 I only liked episode 3 end credits and a bit of episode 5 which was really just a repeat soundtrack heard throughout all season 1 with the Lee and Clementine moments.

Well here's the difference. HBO was the one to license Game of Thrones to Telltale, which meant they were also able to use the same intro and song, just game version. In the case of The Walking Dead, it's not a partnership between AMC and Telltale but between Skybound and Telltale. Now Skybound does not own The Walking Dead intro song/sequence on AMC.
That is the reason you see the GoT TV intro in the Telltale game but don't see a similar thing being done with The Walking Dead. At least, that's my best guess.
Telltale's The Walking Dead game is also based on the comic rather than the show, so it really would just confuse people if they used the AMC intro (since they'd expect it to be in AMC's The Walking Dead universe, and it's not).
As InGenNateKenny pointed out though, modern Telltale does create their own television style intros for their series (with the exception of Game of Thrones, which is based on the television show, although it also takes ideas from the novels as well). I really like Telltale's original intros personally. I actually much prefer the intro in Michonne to the one in the AMC show, just because it's a unique take (hopefully Michonne will have a different song for each opening intro like in Telltale's takes on Borderlands and Minecraft - I've really enjoyed the way those were set up).
Like i've said before, late 80s to 90s dark gangsta rap music should be used. AMC intro is straight up average and forgetable. One of the worst intros for a popular show i've seen and wouldn't work for TellTale. The slow Ballads at the end of season 2 episodes capture how hopeless and sad the world is but isn't capturing the badass element of the game like the right rap song would.
I'm probably in the minority here, but I'd actually want them, for Season 3 and any subsequent TWD releases, to stick to what they've done so far. The elaborate opening sequences have been great for stuff like TFTBL, but I'd rather they stick to just saying "Telltale Games presents...in association with Skybound Entertainment..." and then have the title card pop up, it's simple, to the point, and gets us into the episode faster. The Walking Dead isn't one of those series that needs a flashy opening sequence, yeah the show's is nice, but I just don't think it's something the game needs.

I always wanted that to. Telltale did a brilliant job with TFTB and Michonne's opening was freaking amazing. I hope that this will be in Season 3 as well.
nah that would just confuse those who still think the game is linked to the show (even though this shouldn't even be a thing nowadays) the intro we got with michonne was good enough
