In Too Deep - Thoughts

Okay Telltale I think what they need to work on is:

  • Hub areas (even if it's just like a couple and I mean hub areas where you can actually converse with characters and whatnot)
  • Longer episodes (Hub areas can help pad episodes out, but episodes that are at least 2 hours would be fine)
  • Better details (The more details you have like Sam claiming "It's- fine!" or "I...know" if you say "I'm sorry" to her when hallucinating and her response is based on how you've treated her thus far is awesome, but we'd appreciate more details like that to help with the illusion of choice)
  • Choices so far are a bit meh, we don't really get too invested in it yet

What they did well:

  • Design - Oh my goodness, the design on this! The menu, the intro, the prompts, the music, it all looks so beautiful and it is so well designed.
  • Almost no glitches/lag - No audio or visual glitches, maybe a couple small hitches in lag but ultimately they're getting better
  • Walker design is amazing and really great
  • Characters are great, with great representation and very interesting locale and characters
  • Speaking of locale, all the settings were great
  • Michonne's walker kills were awesome
  • Hallucinogenic aspects of episodes - especially that intro was well done

I will say that I am interested to see where this goes and to see how Episodes 2 and 3 change and whether they'll be better. Ultimately I like In Too Deep so far :D

    Michonne shouldn't even be struggling. A glimpse in the comics, she straight up slices efficiently. Then again this is the game, where shit like that has to happen.
